Our rental trailer has some new additions! We have added barriers and signage to encourage social distancing. For further information on COVID-19 protocols, please visit our website. We also wanted to share our appreciation for our members and skiers remaining patient with us as we all navigate this new and unfamiliar situation. We are working our hardest to ensure we are being as safe as possible! Happy New Year everyone!

With the province-wide lockdown starting, Kawartha Nordic has new safety measures in place in accordance with government guidelines. The club will be closed Christmas Day, and trails will open once a sufficient amount of snow falls. Our programs are currently on hold, and all facility buildings will be closed, aside from the washrooms. We will still have rentals available onsite. A special notice for nordic skiers below. Shopping earlier and earlier is now the new normal, and for good reason. We know that everyone is keen on going out ...and playing for this next winter season. It will without a doubt, be very similar to the summer with increased demand for outdoor products. While we are hoping to receive our shipment of 2021 nordic gear within the week of November 15, we are aware that given the global situation, this could be delayed. RE Wild Rock Ski Swap. We know that this time of the year is typically reserved for getting excited about the upcoming ski season. While we certainly do encoura...ge the excitement, we also must address our annual nordic swap. Unfortunately this year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the rules placed on public gatherings, we have decided it would be in everyone’s best interest to go without our annual ski swap. We know this decision may disappoint some, but we cannot regulate the amount of people in our back parking lot while still keeping it safe and fair for everyone. Today will be the last day the Kawartha Nordic rental trailer will be open due to the social distancing measures in place regarding COVID-19. The Tanney Loop will remain open as long as safe skiing is available.
