Please read I shared this on stories this AM but a few of you asked me to share in a post so you could reshare yourself with your own community. Have a great Saturday everyone and remember, we are all just trying to do our best here
When life feels sour, make something sweet! Or I could also say, when life gives you lemons, make @halfbakedharvest lemon sugar rolls with vanilla cream cheese. They are unreal! Not gonna lie, today has been quite an emotional day! Not sure if it’s the raging pregnancy hormones or the fear in the air and the news, but I need to shake it off. My plan to try and do so... well I’ve had two of these already and already feel a bit better ! I will also be going for a walk to clear my head, some eft (aka tapping what we did in yesterday’s group zoom call!) and some relaxing
The first day of spring calls for pancakes
Happy Thursday! Every Thursday at 8pm, I will be hosting a free group coaching call where we focus on a new subject each week. This week we will be focusing on EFT for anxiety. Feel free to tune in tonight using the link below and see the schedule attached for upcoming topics and dates. If you don’t know what EFT is, that is even better! More reason for you to come! You can come anonymously or mute your mic and turn off your screen if it makes you more comfortable. ... https://us05web.zoom.us/j/84510090300 Kayla
The only way he’d ever consume spinach Not pictured: the waffle he just ate. This is my smoothie but he’s been stealing sips of it every morning which is amazing! He has become a pickier eater (unless he’s at school) so getting vegetables in has become more challenging
10 things that can change your mood instantly The weather forecast for the next week is looking a little sad, so I’m scheduling in some things that brighten my mood into my life. Here are things I do when I want to feel better quickly... 1. Wear bright colours. I don’t know about you, but I grew up in a family that loves bright colours (some may call it peacocking), so when I want to instantly feel brighter, I rely on my wardrobe ... 2. Buy yourself flowers. I sound like a broken record, but buy yourself some flowers or plants! Spend $6 on tulips instead of a latte today. They can add some much beauty to your space, and some may even help purify your air. My new must have, is flowers on my bedside table 3. Set the table. Does anyone else go through covid cooking fatigue? Some days I feel like I don’t want to make one more meal in my own home, I want to be out of my house, enjoying others cooking and restaurants. So when I feel like that, I set the table and make something ordinary, feel special. Drink bubly out of a wine glass, use your nice napkins and dinner plates, make a really good meal yourself or order in. Whatever you do, make it feel special 4. Write lists of 10 things. 10 things you’re grateful for, 10 things that are going well + 10 affirmations. I find I get on a role with things that I am grateful for and it helps lift my spirits and remind me, there is still a lot of good 5. Get outside! Even if it’s raining, get some fresh air. Make a tea, coffee, sit outside without your phone, ear buds, any technology. Fresh air does wonders for the body and mind 6. Play a really happy song. And play it really really loud, in the car, shower, kitchen. It doesn’t matter, get into the emotions of that song and feel it 7. Text someone you haven’t chatted with in a while. Remind someone else you’re thinking of them and miss them 8. Tidy up. Make your bed, clean your space, clear your head and let the hood energy start flowing. Sometimes when we are feeling out of sorts, our physical world may be too and we need to get that energy flowing and to be less stagnant 9. Get dressed. Out of lulus (unless they may you feel amazing)... continued in comments See more
next week is the second last time to order meals, ever! featuring one of our most popular meals, stuffed pepper!
This flower vase sums up motherhood, some moments are low while some are really perky, but all of it is beautiful in its own way PS I am fairly certain the reason half of them are limp is because Jack played a game all week where he would move the ice salt we dragged inside from our front hallway to this vase. Each time he would clap for himself like he was a hero
current mood: couch bound + cozy clothes all day
happy love day we had so much fun getting excited about the little things today. heart shaped pancakes, cookie decorating, the sun shining, pizza making + hanging out as a family. oh and putting together his sisters crib (poll on my stories as to who did it )! Jack is at such an awesome age, it is so fun doing more activities with them rather than for him
spending family day weekend inside with my crazy haired boys

New Years doesn’t matter. It’s just another day To those people I say, no it really isn’t. New Year’s Day, whether it’s this year or another, brings hope and optimism. And there is nothing wrong with that, our world needs more of that, especially right now! May your 2021 bring some hope and a little less loungewear
sometimes all you need is a little fresh air for a fresh perspective some days I love going outside, other days it feels like the biggest production with a toddler, but it always feel good in the end
frozen... and finding entertainment in the things that aren’t meant to be toys, always
