Welcome back!!!! What a beautiful sight it is to see cars back in the lot and kids back on the ice!
We've got an exciting new video series to tell you about. "Stars for Life" will see KC Hockey alum and former NHLer Jason Strudwick and storyteller and CTV jou...rnalist Graham Neil team up to share stories on our alumni. They will find out what people learned growing up playing hockey in Edmonton that enabled them to go on to be great teammates at work, in the community and at home. While we have some great people cued up to talk to, we want to hear from you! If you know an alum who's a terrific person who's helping to build the community around him or her, email us at [email protected] . We want to thank our friends at Imperial Oil Limited for helping to make this series a reality! BTW, we're hoping to convince Struds to don that sassy KC jersey for the series! Big thanks to Mike Ellis @hockeydetail for presenting to our players and coaches yesterday evening. Even during these times there is always opportunity to further our knowledge of the game until we are able to get back on the ice!
We want to ensure every Albertan's health is our #1 priority so we're warning all our teams to play by the rules during this shutdown: no team activities on ice... or off ice, inside or outside. The warning, one on one training, exemptions and a longer season are all discussed in this Covid-19 update: http://www.hockeyedmonton.ca/article/62746 See more
As we enter the lockdown and wait for action to return to the rinks, here is the latest we have on the new health measures in place and our work to plan for a safe return to play. http://www.hockeyedmonton.ca/article/62522
To the Alberta Hockey community: Thank you for your questions about yesterday's Government of Alberta announcement. Just like you, we are seeking answers to a number of questions. We will provide an update when more information is available. Thank you for your patience.
All ice sessions (games/practices) scheduled between November 13-27, 2020 have been suspended. This includes any ice bookings at the KC Arena. The arena will close tonight at midnight and reopen on November 28/20 or the date associated with local health orders. Stay safe and healthy! We can't wait to see you back at the rink!
Today, we remember those who served for our country and fought for our freedom.
*ATTENTION* All Breakfast Club sessions have been suspended effective immediately. Since starting this free player development program on October 19, we have received a tremendous amount of positive feedback and we just wanted to thank all of the participants that made the Breakfast Club a success, to all the parents who made the early morning commute for the benefit of your child and to our on ice volunteers who were there to help. This could not have happened without any of you.

We are happy to say that we are ready to proceed with our upcoming Elite conditioning camps, very close to our original schedules. Schedules have been reposted with very small changes to U13 and U15. We appreciate your patience as we've tried to restart the hockey season. We want to ensure that we are able to proceed safely for our player's and families so we found it necessary to re-evaluate our camp procedures to ensure we are doing just that. We will be following Hockey Alberta and AHS guidelines. Protocols are posted on each page of schedules. Please see our website for more information. https://kchockey.ca/schedules/camps/
