I feel so fortunate to have been a part of this beautifully executed and powerful shoot a few years back with an amazingly talented team of people. I really admire what the shoot stands for. It’s a real awakener for a lot of us that may not be aware of the struggles in the gay community. The shoot was published in Faddy, an Italian magazine last year. ... Here is what the Producer Jan Van Vianen from @jv2fashion has to say about the project. ‘Berlin’ is an editorial I designed to support queer rights and celebrate androgyny in the LBGTQ + community. It’s sad to say a lot of the discrimination towards the gay community comes from within, from other gays. The gay community is so confused on ‘masc 4 masc’ that if a queer individual is slightly feminine, androgynous or not straight acting they are shunned from the community and deemed ‘not attractive’. I wanted the production of ‘Berlin’ to shut this stigma down and show we need to celebrate the femme gays more instead of judging them.
