Hi When I first started in this industry, over a decade ago, my mission was to help people. Any way that I could. Whether it was by providing sport leagues, classes, strength training, nutrition, moral support or just an ear to listen. Something that has not changed. The fitness industry however, has changed dramatically. The popularity of get fit quick schemes, fad diets, pseudo-science, supposed fitness experts, and the influx of social media influencers preying o...n people’s insecurities has over taken an industry once built on personal development and health. As a result, we see increased rates of obesity, heart disease, anxiety, depression and mental illness directly related to a mis-shaped view of ourselves, We compare ourselves to unrealistic photoshopped bodies, get discouraged when a diet doesn’t work, and are told by every self-help influencer that we need to strive to achieve this utopia life. Well, fuck that! Let me tell you, it took a long time for me to learn you don’t need to look a certain way, dress a certain, or achieve some level of wealth to be happy. Don’t let anyone ever tell you differently. You are fucking perfect. You are strong. You are confident and you have the power to live a happy life without changing a damn thing! As we continue in this industry, we promise to never sexualize our content to gain more followers, push fads on you, or make you feel inferior or insecure about yourself by idealizing a certain look or lifestyle.
