Earp SQ in Purgatory will raise funds for the Town of Didsbury and is being organized by Keep Alberta Rolling, a non-profit group formed to raise awareness of the province’s screen industries. Within a week, it has already raised more than $12,000. Money will go toward paying for a local outdoor train for the town’s historical society, among other causes. Didsbury has become a hotspot for Alberta film in the past few years, hosting not only Wynonna Earp but also the Kevin Costner-Diane Lane feature Let Him Go and actress Robin Wright’s directorial debut Land. https://calgaryherald.com//worldwide-fans-unite-for-towns-

We heard a rumour that it was Christmas in the Foothills so this past week we reached out to our friends at Enterprise Rent A Car who lent a trusty cube van to help us spread some Christmas Cheer. Thanks to the generous donation of Polyscope Productions lending of left over decorations from Hallmark's "Meet Me At Christmas" we were ready to Roll. What the Foothills have to offer is no secret to the film industry - breathtaking landscapes, unique timeless town backdrop...s and albertan shops have played welcoming hosts and vendors to many productions. What we didn't realize was how many Calgarians are dashing through the snow to Explore Foothills this season and laughing all the way to their shopping being done early. What really jingled our bells was how many special Christmas gifts and authentic experiences are offered throughout the regions many small businesses. Covid has been tough on everyone but especially small business owners - let's spread joy, be jolly happy souls and support Alberta businesses this cherished season. Vince Varga
