Kijiji: 2002 Southland 3 horse weekender, mid tack https://www.kijiji.ca//2002-southland-3-horse-w/1562160598
Finally dry enough to groom!
Hey everyone I'm telling ya as I see ya but I'll say it here too. We all need to stay off the grass till the ground drys and firms up. Its creating to many divots in the turf. Riding the edge of the gravel is ok but please stay off the grass.
Friends have the cutest 3 horse weekender they'll be listing this weekend. If you're in the market for an affordable unit come take a look. It's at our place, Whitewood Ranch Has a mid tack too!
Try treats outside of the normal for your horses. You'll be surprised what they like!
The outdoor arena 150ft x 300ft can be rented for $280 / day or $30 / hour dedicated use. Contact for details and booking.
I just want to let everybody know that we will be starting our spring vaccinations and deworming campaign here soon. There will be vaccines and dewormers recommended in the near future. But mandatory will be minimum 4-way vaccine.... We are aiming for having this completed between the 14th and 18th April. You are welcome to vaccinate your own horse or have a vet come and do it. We just require proof of vaccination and deworming.
Fresh zen garden :)
Reminder, 4H will be in the track Sunday from 8am till 4pm working on Obstacles
Round pen yesterday
Snow has all melted! Arena is getting close to useable
We got a lovely surprise from all our boarders yesterday that was really touching. So grateful for the truely amazing people in our lives If I could have hugged them I would.
Got all the shelters full of straw for the cold.

The Alberta Government COVID-19 Changes will be in effect for the next 3 weeks at a minimum. Masks are required inside any public space now, which includes the barn. Owners of horses and those that exercise the horses are still welcome at the barn. No further guests until we hear otherwise. No lessons, events or haul ins. If you have any symptoms of COVID-19 do not come to the barn. For outdoor use please limit your group size to a maximum of 10 and maintain a 2 meter distanc...e. There are several spray bottles around the barn, do your part to clean shared surfaces and anything you touch after you are done. Your health is up to you to maintain, including your handwashing habits and proper use of your mask. All cleaning products, soaps and individual towels are available for use. Please give our owners group a heads up when you are planning on attending the barn so that we can limit the amount of people in the barn at one time. Communicate with each other and plan your times around others. No more than 7 owners/farriers/vets in the barn at one time and maintain your social distancing according to government requirements. For example, don’t enter the feed room if someone else is already in there. Wait for them to finish and leave the room before entering. Adam, myself and those that live on the property have the right of way. Please allow us to do our jobs safely and efficiently. Evening chores are 4pm 6pm daily.
Our neighbors if you need this service, they are great people.
This is a really great short video for mounting tips
New sand for the round pen :)
Putting in a culvert for the senior pen finally :) drainage next spring should be the best it's been in years... fingers crossed we did enough trenching and prep to keep it off the racetrack.
