A bittersweet meeting tonight. The theme was celebration. We welcomed our newest member to our club and experienced a powerful, moving "practice" Icebreaker speech from another member. However, while we love getting together, in person, we will have to resume Zoom meetings for the foreseeable future. Wishing our Great President a Very Happy Birthday! You are an awesome leader Tyson!

Meet Tyson Owens. He is building his confidence by pushing himself outside his comfort zone as Kelowna Toastmasters youngest President! Yay! He is learning to lead an executive team and club members as well as conduct business meetings using Robert’s Rules of Order. These skills will take him places he never thought possible. Confidence is growth. By the way he is rocking his leadership and still having a lot of fun being his silly self.

Last evening our meeting themes were Remembrance/Conflict Resolution. We remembered our military but also the many victims of Covid. Our Opening Though included thoughts on peace. An inspirational speech challenged us to look for the gifts in our lives. Lots of food for thought!
