Edited - February 22 7:30pm EHV-1 PREVENTION UPDATE: With the onset of new provincial EHV-1 cases we will not be accepting any new horses at our facility for the time being. We also ask that if you visit/work at any other equine facilities that you either have a second set of barn boots/clothes/tack when visiting Kendal Hills or that you properly disinfect/sterilize them between. We appreciate your co-operation to keep our horses healthy! EDIT: If you require a Ferrier they must also abide by these same guidelines and speak with Annelies prior to coming on the premises.

"Quick COVID outline for restrictions due to the lockdown that’s going on, given the recent announcement by the Ontario Government to shut down the province to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and the lack of direction for boarding stables we approached Ontario Equestrian to obtain their opinion and follow their guidance in order to comply with the government's direction. The direction OE provided is included below. Should you deem that your attendance at the farm is esse...ntial to sustain the health and welfare of your horse you're welcome to come and use the facilities, please note that going forward we will have a schedule (link below) to follow. We ask that no more than 5 visitors be present at a time, if registering for a slot please include all who are in your party everyone entering the barn must be accounted for on the schedule. Once the lockdown is lifted further communication will follow. Additional items to note: -A mask must be worn when in the barns it can be removed in the area assuming you're using it alone or with members of your houehold -Until further notice lessons are suspended -Please tack your horse in the stall Thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times. We will also be looking forward to going back to normal circumstances The Kendal Hills Team!

We are collecting donations for the food bank today. See more

Update to farm visits - In line with recommendations made by the federal government and Equestrian Canada the farm must cease any non-essential business/person to person contacts. We ask that if there is an urgent reason to visit the farm you contact us before doing so. As always we will continue to make sure your horse is receiving exceptional care and we are happy to post updates, photos and videos.

Hello from your furry friends in the Colt Field!!
The well-being of our horses, staff and boarders is of utmost importance to us. As such we are implementing guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy. While we know that horses can offer great comfort in this time of uncertainty, we ask that all non-employees stay out of the barn and visit their horses when they are outside use at your own risk. We realize that this is a huge inconvenience but we must keep our staff healthy in order to take care of your horses and the act... of social distancing and extra sanitization of all the stall doors, barn doors etc after each boarder visit would be impossible for them to keep up with in addition to their work load. Of course, if there is an emergency or essential reason exceptions can be dealt with on a case to case basis. Thank you for your understanding and for doing your part to protect the health of our community. Stay healthy and be well.
Have You ever seen the Sound Barrier ? For those who have never personally seen the sound barrier here are actual photos of it! This phenomenon only happens at... the instant an Aircraft breaks the sound barrier And it literally appears like the aircraft goes through a wall. I hope you find these pictures as fascinating as I did. Amazing!! See more

The North Carolina Wild Ones~ They've survived another hurricane.
Well, the wild horses of the Outer Banks have survived another hurricane. I had no doubt. After all, they've been on the coast for 500 years, they know what to do. https://www.msn.com//the-outer-banks-wild-hors/ar-BBNlL58

After making the little girl, God said: You’ll need something to lean on. Something with substance that will teach you the value of hard work, perseverance, an...d to never give up. A thing that won’t cast judgment when you mess up in life. Because you will often, it’s just part of growing up and becoming a decent human." "You’ll need something whose impressive physical presence must be respected at all times. A being who could break your bones in a whisper but will never break your heart. A creature who will be there for you when you cry for hours after someone you love lets you down. An unspeaking breathing being that will teach you to check all the noise in your head and completely listen to what he is saying." Sometimes in life you need to let go and just hang on. I call this trust. The terrifying ability to follow something blindly out of the conviction of only your heart. It will keep you centered and restore your faith when life happens. When you realize that you are forgettable to the world you won’t be to this creature." "Something that will keep you truly humbled yet teach you how to fly!" You need to understand the painful reality of death. Sometimes it’s ok to let go. That kindness will always be rewarded before the use of force. And that courage means trusting him to get you safely to the other side." Something to get you out of bed in the trying times. When you feel like you have nothing he will remind you that you are still wanted. Something to give you perspective about what’s really important in life." You’ll need a best friend. Do not take this relationship lightly. It just might save your life someday when you see no out. Treasure it always I’m trusting it to you to take care of for a reason." A creature who will restore your faith about all of the goodness in the world even when you are so broken down that you cast Me aside." In turn with time and healing he will bring you back to Me. Know that your struggle won’t be made alone, and don’t forget to enjoy the ride." "So I will make a horse. Credit to Lacey Messick
