33 years ago today, my life and my family changed forever with the tragic death of my younger brother, Ronnie. He has just turned 18. My parents ended up selling the family farm where I had grown up in Little Britain, Ontario. I remember watching the tears roll down my fathers face as he looked out the barn window, down the laneway hoping to see my brothers car come home as it used to...but never would again. Our farm was called Kenwood Farm and that is where I got the na...me for my business, Kenwood Drafting and Design. I could never work as hard as my dad did. He was a dairy farmer. He worked 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I could never be as smart as Ronnie. He completed his grade 13 in 4 years and had been accepted to GMIT for engineering. But I hope I can do them proud by carrying on the Kenwood name with integrity, honesty, hard-work, creativity, devotion. Grateful for the memories, love and lessons learned from them both. Its a great day when I have site visits in Hastings County and can drop by my cousins restaurant for take out.
