S P E E C H H E L P E R S Who are they you may ask? Speech helpers are the parts of the body which help us communicate. Our speech helpers move and work together to produce sequences of sounds, which make up the words and sentences we use daily! ... Some children may have difficulty creating or forming these sounds needed to communicate with others. This can make a child’s speech difficult to understand. Knowing the parts of the body that help us communicate is essential when working with our clients to improve their articulation. Our speech helpers are hard at work in our speech therapy room! Attention Key to Speech clients! It’s been several months since we’ve had little (and big) feet walking (and some running) to our speech therapy rooms! Our team of Speech-Language Pathologists have missed you! We are excited to share with you that our clinic will re-open it’s doors on June 15th! However, home visits will not resume until further notice. That being said, we are working on and ensuring that all steps have been taken at Key to Speech to keep our clinic ...and clients safe from COVID-19. We will be sharing COVID-19 related policies and procedures with you shortly. We thank you for your cooperation through this pandemic! What do you miss the most about our clinic/team members? How rude of me! I don't think I ever took the time to formally introduce myself! My apologies! I'm Brigitte, the owner of Key to Speech, a private speech therapy clinic located in Orléans! ... Here are a few fun facts about me: I am a Speech-Language Pathologist (which is the best job EVER, although I may be a little biased ) I own a named Clochette who is 6 years old and a named Bella who is 2. One could describe me as an over the top animal lover (and I'm totally okay with that)! If I had one superpower, I would make sure everyone is able to communicate, as to me, COMMUNICATION is essential! Just think about it, how many time do you use words and sentences or even non-verbal body language to communicate with others (or your pets) during the day? I would love to get to know you!
