Joining Carers Canada in recognizing caring Canadians #NationalCaregiverDay - https://www.kidneycancercanada.ca//national-caregiver-day/ Carers Canada and its’ partners launch a national campaign to showcase Canadians’ experiences in caregiving; the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on caregivers; and organizations that provide essential supports for caregivers. Results from a global study conducted in September 2020:... - The strain of COVID-19 has increased the demand on caregivers’ time by 28% - The number of caregivers has increased by 12% due to COVID-19. - Caregivers’ greatest responsibility during COVID was providing emotional support. -Caregivers need more training on technology 55% of caregivers say they need additional guidance/training on how to use telehealth/online tools/mobile apps. Ontario government confirms the revision of the 2nd COVID vaccine timeline that will follow manufacturer's recommended dose interval for transplant recipients and some cancer patients. This revision will affect metastatic kidney cancer patients 2nd dose delivery. Speak with your oncologist. #kidneycancer
