After dialoguing with several other licensed ECE programs that haves decided to not open tomorrow due to the weather, speaking with a meteorologist and given the fact public transportation is not running until at least noon tomorrow, we have made the decision to not open given the continued storm & for the safety of all. We will resume operations on Thursday. Stay safe all!

So today is the first day of operation since March the 17th of this year, that parents are entering our building. We re-opened on June 15th but we have accepted children outside until today. So I have to tell you something funny.... a mom just came in the front door and I am working at a minidesk in front entrance with my mask on reminding folks to wear masks and hand sanitize... and this mom just came in a said hi to me and said "I missed the smell of this place" ... I laughed and I also love it ... but I am not sure what smell she means lol.... our kitchen is right beside the main door so hoping it is yummy food smells she means or maybe just the smell of happy kids? lol : ) Had to share : ) Welcome back folks!

On this day, 25 years ago, we opened our doors to our first day of our program. We have provided Early Childhood Education & Care to more than 1651 children and have worked with more than 2670 parents. Our first day of operation was 3 staff and 5 children: Manav, Melina, Sam, Jackie & Jordan. We have felt honoured and privileged to be in ALL of these children & parents lives. While our big 25th anniversary party plans have changed drastically due to COVID, we have lots of celebrations planned. So please stay tuned! And thank you all for choosing us, supporting us and a special thank you to the truly amazing team members we have had with us over the past 25 years! And Dad, thank you for believing in me and for being a part of a dream coming true. I love you & miss you. You will always be a part of KIDS R KIDS.

25 years ago today, the pieces of the building were on site & assembled with an army of staff from Kent. It was organized chaos. Our hill was named by these very workers as Fred Hansen stood on it watching the assembly. We had hired a couple of staff and we were frantically opening toys, setting up classrooms and gearing up for our weekend of open houses before our first day with children.
