Stay and Play runs inside the Winnipeg Cafe and Patio every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30am.... Come play with your kids inside the cafe or out on the patio with the patio toys. Have Toddlers? Come enjoy our Toddler area set up inside at the cafe. Our Cafe is open and our friendly barista's would be happy to make you you're favourite coffee or even grab you a snack. This month in G-Force, your 7-12 year old is learning how they can show kindness to those around them. Each week they will explore the idea that kindness is showing others they are valuable by how you treat them. All of these lessons will be posted to our Springs Kids YouTube channel so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss a video! Here are some helpful tips and ideas that may aid your child in developing a deeper understanding of this topic. Morning Time... Put a special treat (that is prewrapped) with your child’s breakfast. Tell them to take this with them to school asa reminder to do something extra sweet for someone else. They could even give that special treat to a friend. Tell them to not eat it until the job is done! Remind them to be kind to others because God is kind to them. Drive Time Go through your closet, toys, or pantry and fill a bag to donate to a local cause. As you are in the car on your way to donate items ask your child, How do you think these items will show kindness to someone else? What does it feel like to be kind to someone you won’t ever meet? Why should we do this?" Meal Time Q & A FOR KIDS: What are you the biggest fan of? Q&A FOR PARENTS: Who are you the biggest fan of? Bed Time Jesus says that true kindness goes further than just following the rules. It means not only that you don’t hit your brother, but maybe you let him take the last cookie. Brainstorm at least three ways you could show kindness where you don’t have to during week. Pray that God will show you opportunities to go the extra mile each day.

This month in Kinderchurch, your 4-6 year old is learning that Jesus loves them. You will find all of these lessons on our YouTube channel, so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss out on any of the lessons! Here are some helpful tips and ideas to help your child gain a deeper understanding on this months topic. Morning Time... When you go into your child's room, say, "Good morning! Is there anyone in here that Jesus loves? (Look around like you don't see your child.) Anyone? (Look at your child.) Oh! Yes! YOU! Jesus loves YOU! Drive Time As you drive or take a walk, take turns naming places that you can spend time with Jesus. Any place you name is correct, because we can spend time with Jesus anywhere! How many places can you name? Cuddle Time Cuddle with your child this month and pray, "Dear God, I pray (name of child) and I will always go to Jesus when we need help, just like the centurion did. Help us believe that Jesus loves us and can help us. You're the best, God, and we love You very much. In Jesus' name, amen. During Bath Time Let your child pick some toy friends to bathe. Show your child how to wet them with water and then dry them. Talk about how the woman in the Bible story wet Jesus' feet with her tears and then dried them with her hair. She was so thankful that Jesus loved her no matter what.

Yesterday we started collecting socks for heart for the house! Each heart represents someone who gave some money towards changing the lives of others. We will still be collecting socks for Sunday November 22 and 29 so be sure to write your kids names on a piece of paper and put it in their sock so we know what name to write on their heart. *socks can be dropped off at drive-in in Winnipeg and in the classes @springscalgary

This Sunday in G-Force we challenged your kids to get involved and give back to their community. Here at Springs Kids, we have two opportunities we make available to you. For Families in Winnipeg, we have the Inner City toy Drive. Each year the church collects many presents for kids ages 6-12 that are given out at our Inner City location. If you would like to donate please make sure to drop off your gift between office hours at either 725 Lagimodière Blvd or 648 Burrows Ave.... Please ensure your gift is unwrapped and clearly marked with the intended age and gender for the present. If you have any questions feel free to email [email protected] or call us at (204) 586-6213. For Families in Calgary, we have an Operation Christmas Child shoebox drive. For the past few years in Calgary, we have challenged our kids to put together a shoebox full of essential items as well as some small toys to send out to children in Central America and West Africa. If you would like more information on what to pack in your shoebox visit samaritanspurse.ca. We will be collecting boxes up until Sunday, November 22. For those families that live too far away to contribute to these opportunities, we encourage you to find out what’s happening in your local community. Find a way for your family to help bless others this Christmas.

Hey Parents, Friendly reminder that your kids can bring in their sock offering anytime during the month of November. If you're in Winnipeg you can bring your child's sock to Drive-in Church and hand it in at either of the activity bag handout stations in the parking lot. If you're in Calgary you can bring your sock into Church and hand it in at your child's designated classroom.... If you live too far away you can always help your child by giving for them online.
