Military Training is going well - i should be taking appointment for heat pumps around August 10. I will be contacting Cheticamp clients around this time so if you are looking for me, I'm hoping to get you all in the last week of August (26th to the 30th or early September. For CBRM i will be taking appointments for the week of th 19th to the 2rd.

Hi everyone - thanks for the successful first year for Kilted Kleaners - just want to put this out there - I'm hearing strange stories about heat pump cleanings so just want to put my 2 cents out there - what should be done is that the cover and louvers are removed from the machine, the coil system AND fan are 1) sprayed with a coil cleaning solution, and 2) low pressure washed out, and 3) done in conjunction with a bib kit which collects and channels water into a bucket for ...disposal. this takes about an hour for someone experienced and unless there is some unforeseen issue, should be done with relative ease. I've had customers in the past month tell me that they know people who have had theirs cleaner without a bib kit which cause black, soiled water to run down their walls - I have heard a customer had their cabinet cover opened, the cleaner sprayed a foam from home depot inside it, they close the cover and charged $160, and finally i've heard of someone charging $250 per unit to clean them. If you have been faced with any of these issues, please contact us for your next cleaning! I do them all myself, you can look at some of the videos on here and photos of what should happen during a deep cleaning of your heat pump. THAT BEING SAID: I am unable to take any calls until the first of May. For one, I'm going to be doing a course on the weekends until mid-April, and second, this is not work I enjoy doing in the winter! the cleaning solution dries out my hands worse than the cold dry air and my knuckles are splitting and cracking which makes cleaning heat pumps unsafe (I've had 3 bacterial skin infections so far!) and rubber gloves are really tough to work in. Thirdly, it's messy to be carrying so much gear into peoples' homes when the driveways are wet and snowy. My fourth reason is that if anything goes wrong with the outside unit being off for an hour and then has trouble coming back on, winter is a bad time to deal with that, and finally i have a harder time predicting driving times and keeping appointment schedules. So if you want your heat pump(s) cleaned by me, please wait until mid-April to start booking me for May cleanings. Thanks and have a great winter - hope to hear from you in the spring! Hello everyone and thanks for doing business with us - I am very sorry to anyone who has called and hasn't heard back from me - I am going away one week-end in November but i have not heard yet which week-end - i will know Tuesday November 6 by 10PM so if you are waiting to hear back from you can expect my call by the end of the day Wednesday November 7. Also, i get limited to no cell service where i live so some calls go right to voicemail and i don't even notice it until i check my voicemail and see there are several new messages! Another "one of the worst" I've cleaned. I was surprised myself at how the fin system on this one turned out considering how covered over it was when I started.

If you are waiting to get your heat pump cleaned - wait no longer! Come September i will only be doing them on 1 weekend per month! I'm a full time technology teacher and school will be back in in three weeks!
