Bulwark to the Ocean - 4 x 3 inches, oil on wood Standing on a higher bluff alongside the sloping cliffs around Peggy's Cove during rough weather it becomes very clear that this small village is actually a natural fortress against the relentless onslaught of the Atlantic ocean. On sunny days it has a quaint picturesque veneer, almost akin to a movie set. But on the other side of that stone wall there is a precipice where monsters dwell.
