As per government’s decision came out this afternoon to close schools and daycares, Kim’s Music Studio will also close it’s doors to help flatten the curve of the spread of germs from COVID-19, starting today, monday, march 16th, 2020. Starting tomorrow, march 17th, lessons will be available online through SKYPE technology or FACETIME. If interested in going this route, please let me know and we will get set up. If not, I can add lesson remakes in June at no fee in order to remake the missed time. Reopening when schools reopen! Thanks for understanding, Keep clean, keep hand washing, and stay safe and stay home as much as possible! miss Kim

COVID-19 Update Sunday, March 15, 2020 *subject to change as I monitor the status of health canada and government recommendations closely* At this time, private lessons are proceeding as scheduled at Miss Kims Music Studio with the following to keep in mind: ... * If you have travelled out of the PROVINCE or have been in contact with someone who has, please follow the government recommendations and abstain from coming to your scheduled lesson for a 14 day period. * I will be imposing that all students and their guardians, as always, frequently wash their hands and use sanitizer or a wipe before and after entering their lesson. (If students have personal size hand sanitizer to bring, they are encouraged to bring it in their piano bag). There are now paper towels for hand drying after washing in the studio washroom instead of hand towels. * As always, if you are experiencing symptoms of ANY illness, even mild, please stay home. In addition to the regular studio cleaning routine: piano keys/bench, games, chairs, door knobs, tables, and all other surfaces will be sanitized between lessons. If cases of COVID-19 increase, or if schools end up closing, piano lessons will be made available online through SKYPE or Facetime technology, or rescheduling can also be done for the end of the school year in June. More information on these options will be provided if need be. Hopefully all of our musical friends and families will all stay germ-free, healthy, and happy as we undergo this uncertain time together. Miss Kim

Another year of Christmas mini concerts over already! What a wonderful day of fun festive holiday piano music! I am so proud of each and every one of my sweet students. You all did an excellent performance. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all for taking the time out of this busy time of year to attend your childs mini recital. Supporting them throughout their musical journey is leading them to a lifetime of enjoyment! ... Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

A reminder that registration for piano lessons (starting in January, 2019) ends tomorrow (July 6th). *Lessons may have to be bi-weekly starting in January with some weekly spaces available. Scheduling details will be sent in the late fall months. Anyone not registered by the deadline will not have a space reserved --- Late registration will result in waitlisting for lessons in January. ... Registration is as easy as can be! The location of our 2018 Spring Recital is at the beautiful, spacious DF Cook Recital Hall in the MUN School of Music. The recital is this coming Saturday, June 16th. The time, and other information have now been sent to all parents emails. If you need directions or any other information, let me know before Saturday! Looking forward to some awesome performances!
