Myth #2 I’m too old to get vaccinated Although it is recommended to get vaccinated at a young age to prevent some diseases, there are also some vaccines specifically for adults such as Shingrix to prevent shingles Myth #3 Too many vaccines will harm my body Just like any other medication, there can be some mild side effects but the benefits of getting multiple vaccines outweigh the risks from the vaccines. Myth #4 It’s not big deal if I don’t get vaccinated By not getting vaccinated, you increase your chances of getting preventable diseases. You may also infect others too young (e.g. infants), too old or too sick (e.g. immune disorders) to get vaccinated.
