Dr. Hefford (chiropractor) from @p.r.o.active is a RoCkStAr when it comes to keeping #agingathletes on the move. Between him and @anitaminute (physiotherapist) from @beaverbankphysio they are the oil that keeps this engine running (pun intended). The ankle injury that Warren is currently working on is due to six-months of sedentary thesis writing with my foot tucked under my rump. As of three weeks ago I’m back to running 5K 2-3x/week uncomfortably, which is a significant jump in volume from 6-months of nothingness. Thanks team for knowing when to push, when I’m too broken to pull #ittakesavillage

Rules and regulations for riding bikes outside during this period of 'weirdness' are vague and unclear. Check out Canadian Cycling Magazine's recommendations for cycling training. Also if you're not keen on paying a monthly subscription to Zwift, TrainerRoad, Xert or other online platforms, consider purchasing PerfPRO Studio or invest the time to learn how to use the open-source platform, Golden Cheetah. And as Joanne and Hal used to say, "Keep Fit and Have Fun!"
For those avid cyclists concerned about losing fitness and fear the effects of detraining, check out Dr. Cheung's most recent PezCycling News article on adjusting your training to accommodate for the current pandemic lockdown. Also be sure to check out Canadian Cycling Magazine's stance on outdoor training amidst the chaos (link in next post) #staysafe #stayisolated #stayinside
