***Lest We Forget*** I would like to introduce you to Richard Earl (better known as Grandpa Earl). He joined the @rcaf_arc in 1942 and was placed with the 435 squadron. This amazing man is still with us today. But I am concerned...I am concerned with how this Manitoba Provincial Government @manitobagov has not stepped up and stepped in to protect the senior citizens of this great province. ... @brianpallister continues to discuss the importance of our seniors, yet they were not proactive at all to help save their lives. We knew this could happen. Let’s look to Ontario and Quebec and what happened months ago. Our provincial government did not prepare for the second wave which they continued to tell us was going to happen. This is a call to the public! Do the right thing. Take this seriously. Stay home!! Keep my grandfather safe!! Keep seniors safe!! Our government cannot do it so it is up to YOU!! I want to thank all of the essential workers out there. The doctors, nurses, teachers, employees of grocery stores and all other essential businesses. The Kings Head recognizes your efforts. We see the blood, sweat and tears you are putting in. We see you and hear you!! We see the lack of support the Provincial Government has given you!! Keep up the great work and the fight!! We are all in this together!!

***A heart felt thank you*** I want to first say thank you to @yourwinnipegrealtor your compassion has been heart felt by our entire staff and so many others. We appreciate you and words cannot express. Secondly, THANK YOU MANITOBANS!! Talk about supporting local. We had one heck of a weekend. Again, we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This is the support that is going to keep our pub and local businesses going!! ... Thirdly, I know we had to shut down our ordering system a couple times on the weekend due to the amazing outpouring of your love and support!! I guess a good problem to have right? At the Kings Head, we do not like to overpromise and underdeliver. So we had to make that tough decision. My poor kitchen was, as they say in the hospitality industry, IN THE WEEDS! I have read and heard your feedback and I appreciate it. I also appreciate your patience and I know you want to support us! Doing a delivery service like what we are doing is now in its fourth week!! So there were some bugs to work out! BUT I am confident that we will have the right system moving forward. In order for this system to work these will be the new hours moving forward for delivery and takeout! Monday and Tuesday - closed Wednesday and Thursday - 11am-9pm Friday and Saturday 11am-11pm Sunday 12pm-9pm I want to thank my staff for all of their hard work they put in this weekend. It was amazing to watch. We have become closer than I ever thought. Seeing their positivity throughout this entire pandemic has been refreshing and heartwarming. We really are a family!! #savembrestaurants

**Genuine Manitobans supporting Local*** Let me introduce you to Nicole Hacault @yourwinnipegrealtor on Instagram and nicolehacaultyourwinnipegrealtor on Facebook. I’d like to tell you a story. There are moments of vulnerability in this short story but focus is on the human kindness and authenticity. ... Nicole sold our home in River Park South recently. It was a a great experience. She was great to deal with and a great communicator. My family had plans of what was next, but what ended up being next was needing to sell our home to ensure that we could keep The Kings Head in operation. We are now in our 9th week of shut downs. I had never expressed to Nicole that the purpose of selling our home has changed to cashing in the assets to keep the Kings Head alive. A few weeks ago, We started an online delivery system through our website when we shut down as a last lifeline. It allowed us to skip third party delivery services and allowed us to try to keep some of our staff employed. The servers and bartenders literally deliver the food right to your door. Nicole had asked me earlier in the week if we could set up a promo code so she could take care of $10 of clients orders they would purchase through our website. Then I see a post from Nicole this morning on her social media...and I cannot explain how overwhelmed I was with emotion. She is donating her commission from the sale of our home back to The Kings Head by making her promo code available to all. Not just her clients...I’m talking Winnipeg. I did not know this was happening and I did not expect this at all. This is the epitome of exemplary human practice and character. I cannot thank her enough for this. These are the kinds of things that will save local business. @brianpallister @cameron_friesen_ @min_fielding @minister_ralpheichler could learn a thing or two or three from people like Nicole. This is more money then the @manitobagov has given us (which,if we are keeping track, is 0) I encourage you to reach out to Nicole. Appreciation is always welcomed. #savembrestaurants #savethekingsheadpub

**Back by Popular Demand** Groceries are being added to our takeout and delivery menu Thursday November 5th. We appreciate your support so much throughout our multiple closures, which is now going on 9 weeks and need your support more than ever. ... We are doing everything we can to survive. Unfortunately the Provincial Government continues to fail our industry and our staff. We are continuing to rely on Manitobans to support our livelihoods and it does not go unnoticed. Let @brianpallister know how YOU feel. You can order menu items, swag, groceries, gift cards etc. directly through our website. Again we all appreciate your support immensely. You all show us how much you care. #keepthekingsheadpubalive #savembrestaurants

We couldn’t agree more. Brian Pallister your robust programs you continue to tell the media and people of Manitoba are terrible. Only 52 million of your 200 million has been taken advantage of and of that 52 million less than 20 percent of the hospitality industry has been able to taken advantage of these robust programs. Do you know who has been able to take advantage of the programs? Fast food chains!!! That is the majority of the 20%. #savembrestaurants
