Life is not easy, and the older we get, the more we see our peers and family members dealing with hardship, because this journey of living is such a gamble. Rae Spoon has been doing music for as long as I have and taking risks all along the way. I highly respect and admire non-binary and trans individuals. Living outside the lines is difficult. I am not non-binary but I am mixed-blood, and have always been drawn to others who occupy liminal spaces of "not being enough". We ar...e easy targets, the butt end of jokes, and for those who want to tear us down, attacking identity is a pretty good place to cause wounds. But enough about identity politics. Rae is dealing with some critical life shit bigger than identity conversations, and I'm sharing this fundraising initiative in case anyone is feeling generous. Society is stronger with innovators and non-binary people in it.
