Tonight is the full moon that marks the end of the month of Kartik - a special annual period of extra focus and spiritual practise for Bhakti yogis. Shri Chait...anya likens the heart to the night blooming kairava lily, which spreads its petals as they are touched by the rays of the moon. Sri Chaitanya, the pioneer of the kirtan movement, explained that the gift of kirtan is actually awakening of the gift of pure divine love. From the Bhakti texts we know that we’re made to give and receive love. Therefore, the biggest transformation occurs for us when we experience love in its purest form.
