We have received an early shipment of Amaryllis Bulbs. We were going to hold off on putting them out but we have had sooo many request we thought we would just put them out and order more! Available in Red Lion or Mont Blanc. These bulbs will show beautiful, huge white or red blooms with green centers. You can plant them now as they take 8-10 weeks to start to show their beautiful flowers.They are meant to be grown indoors. Each bulb will create 3+ stems. Great cut flower! ... Are you thinking of planting Garlic this year?!? Now is the time to get those bulbs ready to get into the ground. We sell a variety called German Red Garlic. This variety produces medium bulbs, strong spicy flavor, and red medium cloves. The German Red adapts well to cold climates with vigorous in-season growth, dark green foliage. This easy-to-peel variety is a hit with chiefs. For Fall Planting and Next Season Harvest... Plant the garlic bulb before the ground freezes. Pick a well-drained garden bed to plant into. Peel cloves before planting. Plant the pointed end of the clove up, 5-8 cm (2-3") deep and 10-15 cm (4-6") apart. Lightly cover with soil and water thoroughly. Cover with a layer of mulch such as leaves or straw to provide insulation from fluctuating temperatures in winter and spring. Remove the mulch in early Spring. When the garlic breaks through the soil the following Spring. In late Spring snip the scapes from the head of the garlic plant to channel the energy to the bulb formation. Scapes are a delicious early season garlic treat. The Garlic is ready to harvest when the leaves of the plant are 3/4 yellow and start to die back. Lift the soil around the garlic bulb before trying to remove the garlic from the soil. Pull the garlic from the soil and place the garlic in non-direct sunlight with good airflow to allow the garlic to dry for 7-10 days. After the garlic has cured you can trim the small roots on the bottom of the garlic and remove one layer of skin. Store in a dark cool area.

We had a great bunch of ladies in this morning to try one of our workshops. This one was a private one as we weren't sure how they would work with COVID. This is one we are definitely going to put in the schedule for next year! Maybe even again for this year if we can find more product. They turned out great! This year for our Christmas Season we have filled our Tropical House with yep you guessed it Tropicals. Normally they would wind down with our Fall Season but going forward we will be carrying a large selection of Tropicals and succulents as well as Airplants.
