Our fire starter is so easy to use. Yes, it really can light a fire without kindling. If you have tried it - tell us what you think. Send us a message with your review!
Our 3-pack underwent a re-design and we love the new look! Stock up now to use as gifts for your family and friends while supplies last! Use the Shop button on our page or go to www.k-lumet.ca/online-store.
Thank you Community Foundations of Canada for the feature! https://www.communityfoundations.ca/k-lumet/
Hey friends, if you have old candles that aren't burning anymore... We can take them off your hands and save them from the landfill! Drop them off in our new recycling bins at our facility in the @TownsitePublicMarket and at the Salvation Army in Powell River. If you live on the Island you can drop them off at Too Good To Be Threw @tgtbtthriftshop in Courtenay and Salvation Army on Ryan Road in Comox. Thank you!
Surprise! Our Wall of Flame decal is now on display at our facility in the Townsite Public Market. It is a tribute to our supporters last year who donated to our crowdfunding campaign and helped us launch into our next phase! Thanks to J & D Signs for creating our beautiful decal! During our temporary closure you can still buy our fire starter online and at BC retail locations. Keep buying local and inclusive!
We want your waste! We use 3 specific items that you might typically throw away. K-lumet will recycle your new, untreated framing materials from a construction or renovation project, clean paper rolls from toilet paper, and used candles (soy, paraffin and beeswax are all accepted). Please hold onto these items until COVID restrictions have passed or if you don’t have the space to store please get in touch here or by email - [email protected] to arrange pick up. Thank you!
If you live in Powell River and are in self-isolation you can buy our fire starter online here https://www.k-lumet.ca/online-store and choose 'pick up' once you've loaded your online shopping bag. Send us a note and we will be in touch about home delivery. Stay warm everyone
It's been a chilly start to spring here in the Pacific Northwest and you may need to keep the home fires burning longer. If you need to stock up on fire starter use the Shop Now button here on FB to visit our online store! Thanks for buying local and inclusive!
Hello friends! Our staff will be working from home for the next little while for everyone's health so our store at Townsite Public Market is closed to the public. If you need to buy fire starter during this time please pick some up from our partners. You can find the list here https://www.k-lumet.ca/shop

Snow is in the forecast here in Powell River but you can keep warm with k-lumet! Save yourself the trouble of kindling - just light the wicks on each end and watch it burn!
We hope your new year is filled with joy and comfort and maybe some candle ends? We are looking for wax donations! It can be soy, paraffin - even bees wax. Thank you to everyone who has donated already. If you are donating used tea lights please remove the aluminum holder before donating if possible! Drop off at our townsite market location. We are currently not set up to receive toilet paper roll donations so please wait until we make an announcement.
We’d like to introduce you to Ember, the newest member of the team! She keeps us cozy and warm and is very crucial in keeping spirits bright. Huge THANKYOU to Valley Building Supplies Ltd. for donating this wood stove to our space!
Zack is here every week to help us pack up our fire starter into reused banana boxes. Using these boxes for shipping is one more way we are staying true to our commitment to waste diversion.
Just when you think the work is done! Just kidding...we’re just adding a new appliance - can you guess what it is? Come find out at Townsite Market and join in the 1 year anniversary celebration today and tomorrow!
