I would like some feedback from people on your water heaters, do you own or rent? Tank style water heaters are only found in north america, the rest of the world uses tankless or point of use. Most people rent water heaters wich is beyond my comprehension why. If you do the math your rental unit costs $4,000.00 or more, A HVAC or plumbing company can supply and install a water heater for a quarter of th...e price. You can also finance the install which takes away the argument of low monthly cost veres paying up front for the unit. and as far as the argument of "I dont have to pay for repairs" goes the $3,000.00 you save will cover alot of repairs and you can also get a 10 year extended warranty from the installer. With the new technolagy in condensing tankless water heaters I think its time to start rethinking rentals. For more info on how to stop getting ripped off by the rental companies call. Hot Water Guy. Another HVAC scam. if someone comes to your door claiming to be from the government asking to see your heating equipment and they need to put a inspection sticker on don't let them in. The only one who needs to see your equipment is TSSA or your gas supplier.

Consider this fair warning. There is a company going around Hamilton offering a FREE HRV for your furnace if you switch energy providers. This is a scam!!! the "free" HRV ends up costing $6,000.00 and you pay more for hydro. Most older homes in Hamilton would not benefit from an HRV and if your home does need an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator) call a professional HVAC contractor like me. My friend was smart enough to call me before he signed. I had a conversation with the salesman, he had no clue of what an HRV was or what it did or how it operates. I don't think the salesman likes me after our conversation.
