FUN FACT FRIDAY--- The common toilet is known by several names including the loo, thunderbox and crapper. The 'crapper' came from the surname of a Royal Sanitary Engineer from England in the mid 1800s.... "He was a plumber and he owned a business where he made and sold toilets, so there were a lot of toilets with the name Crapper on the top of them."
In DIY plumbing, it's common to reach for the closest pipe of the right size and shape. The most common mistakes when it comes to fitting two pipes together have to do with material and size. When fitting two pipes of different sizes together, the proper connecting piece must be used to ensure proper sealing. The pipes aren't properly fitted just because they hold together. Another very common mistake is connecting a pipe made of galvanized metal to a pipe made of copper. These materials react to each other and the connection point will corrode very quickly, leading to leaks. A brass or other suitable fitting must be used to connect these materials.

How it Spreads Coronavirus is transmitted via larger liquid droplets when a person coughs or sneezes. The virus can enter through these droplets through the eyes, nose or throat if you are in close contact. The virus is not known to be airborne (e.g. transmitted through the particles floating in the air) and it is not something that comes in through the skin.... It can be spread by touch if a person has used their hands to cover their mouth or nose when they cough. That’s why we recommend you cough or sneeze into your arm and wash your hands regularly.

Any area of your plumbing system can freeze if the pipes are unprotected, and the weather is cold enough. If your plumbing system freezes, the first step is to ensure the water flow is turned off and then call a professional plumber. Frozen pipes can burst and damage your home or foundation.
