Today's card is postponement. After we have all been practicing arranging our lives to be healthy, what sorts of activities are you yearning to return to in the future? This card often comes when our inner expectations are struggling with the current reality. That inner voice that says "I would like to be OVER THERE NOW.....and the universe if making me wait. Postponement coming up is a reminder that our dreams and goals for the future aren't unattainable, just that there... is a waiting time involved. Depending on what other cards sit next to it in the reading would give a more definitive time line for when they would be happening. Postponement asks me to have patience in the universe's timing and that I can't force something today that isn't meant to happen yet. Is it because there may be things I have to learn, see or hear first? Are the people or situations not prepared to support what I can envision today? Today’s focus card is Morality. From a dictionary point of view, it is an individual, group or societal definition of right behaviour and wrong behaviour. I have seldom observed consensus in our social development. What one person or group may consider moral, may elicit a very negative response in others. We often hear that we are being asked to be politically correct which may not align with someone else’s vision of morality. When this card appears, I am being asked to ...examine if my attitude toward right and wrong are not allowing me to hear other points of view. Have I become rigid and bitter because I don’t agree with someone else’s view of morality. Is it limiting my ability to hear what needs may be trying to be met in their interpretation of right and wrong? Is there something from my past that has influenced how I am responding? Am I open to seeking more information to determine if my moral compass is out of alignment? Do I minimize or make others feel less than through my moral judgement? So today, I will listen for moments of a reaction to the rightness or wrongness of things happening around me. If those moments arise, am I clear about why those values are important to me. Today is a fun card to see show up. Integration asks us to check in on our efforts to adapt to new circumstances and bring it into balance in our lives. Integration can include all areas of our wellbeing...physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. As I contemplated the card, I thought about how I was balancing the new changes that the virus has created in my world. What kinds of rituals and activities have I integrated as a result? With the predominant yin/yang symbol, ...am I viewing those changes in a negative or a positive way? Are the rituals and activities something that will enrich my life later on? Does the ritual or activity stimulate a larger sense of perspective of the world (the eagle)? Are the newly integrated activities providing a sense of comfort and grace (the swan)? Are there things I may still want to adapt or tweak to have the integration feel more natural? Are my thoughts around the changes positive or negative and am I staying aware of how those thoughts may impact my acceptance of the integrated ritual or activity? The joy of this card is that we all have permission to bring new things into our lives that can enrich and stretch the overall balance in our lives. Have a wonderous day people. Ordinariness...at this time, this is a pretty subjective term. Today, I can ask myself what I am doing that contributes to the ordinary balance in my day. It is easy in our current world situation to let slide the ordinary things we would do. Have I changed any of my self care habits? Do I work at maintaining a semblance of a schedule? Am I procrastinating on tasks that I usually wouldn’t because the urgency to maintain ordinary doesn’t motivate me in the same way right now? Today I will work at holding an awareness of whether I have shifted my attitude to ordinariness. Stay safe today people. And in closing, I share on of my fav slogans: Strive to live an ordinary life in an extra ordinary way.

So the card today is The Miser. When this card shows up, it is often asking what intention may be behind holding on to things, behaviours or thinking. Although there is a sense of dark protectiveness in this card, it can also reinforce the powerful importance of protecting boundaries that may be essential to our safety and well-being. This card often asks me to examine whether I am in the midst of scarcity thinking. In the process of hanging on tightly, am I limiting my a...bility to accept other resources or ideas which may enrich my life? I have often found that this card appears when we are reacting to a triggering event that is very old learned behaviour. It may be an indicator that the behaviour is no longer serving life in a positive way. Considering all that we have observed in the world over the past month, this card represents a global fear of losing stuff and a predictable life.
