We always find cut important to help different charities throughout the year. Especially this year charities have had a difficult time in raising funds to assist in research and programs. 10 days until the virtual Kidney Walk. This year I will be walking with my family, like many others will do across Ontario. Although we will not be having large gatherings to walk together, we will walk the 3 of us in honor of all those who suffer from Kidney Disease. The need for donations is just as important as in past years, and if you are able to donate to this great cause we would greatly appreciate it. For those of you who have already sponsored, we thank you for being behind us and the Kidney Foundation.

Why Parge your foundation wall? The reason to do a parge coat is to protect the the foundation whether is is the stone, brick or masonry block and the mortar in the joints that hold the wall together. The parge coat forms a water resistant, protective barrier that helps prevent water penetration into the building materials that can cause moisture damage or spalling deterioration. Remove an old interior door for a new interior door with obscure glass. The new door adds more light in the hallway from the laundry room window through the obscure glass. New hinge set & doorknob. Little changes can make a big difference.

Test kitchen & bathroom exhaust fans... 4. Clean kitchen exhaust hood & filter 5. Clean gutters, check for leaks & make sure theyre attached securely 6. Clean & seal deckif needed 7.Check foundation for cracks & leaks 8. Check exterior paint & touch up as needed 9. Check siding & masonry for damage & schedule repairs 10. Repair/replace damaged window screens 11. Inspect caulking around windowsif cracking re-caulk 12. Check roof for damage & schedule re-roofing if needed 13. This past weekend we had a lot of snow which melted extremely quickly. This resulted in some homes having their eaves trough back up and down pipes plugged with ice. Be sure that your eaves trough are cleared of debris to make sure that dont have overflows that can back up and leak into your home which can cause further damage. Hoping spring is on the way and we dont see anymore snow, but were in Canada and you never know.
