After sell-out screenings last year at the Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa and at the Mayfair Theatre, we are having another free screening of our Blue Roses Documentary on Wednesday January 29th at 7pm at First United Church, Ottawa, 347 Richmond. All are welcome. Spread the word.
The Kublacom team (Danielle Rolfe, Jane Gurr & Ed Kucerak) wish everyone all the best in the year ahead.
We had an amazing turnout of 189 people to Saturday's screening of Blue Roses Documentary at the Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa. Completely sold out. The panel afterwards proved to be engaging and informative as Joel Harden, Danielle Rolfe, Robert Jamison, Jack McCarthy, Daniel Tucker-Simmons and Wendy Muckle discussed issues raised in the film about the rooming house community.
Special shout-out to Compaasionate Ottawa for sponsoring the screening of our Blue Roses Documentary at Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa, Main Branch tomorrow at 1pm and to Ottawa Inner City Health for organizing it. https://compassionateottawa.ca//blue-roses-documentary-sc/

There's a free public screening of the film at the Ottawa Public Library / Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa, Main Branch on Saturday December 7th at 1pm. All are welcome.
"Bridge to Uluru", currently in post-production, tells the story of an epic adventure across the Australian Outback in vintage open-cockpit biplanes - a few post-production tools for our documentary about the journey!
The Kublacom team (Ed Kucerak & Jane Gurr) are currently in the first roughcut stage of editing the documentary film Bridge to Uluru with a tentative release date of late fall 2020.
The Kublacom team (Jane Gurr & Ed Kucerak) recently received the very sad news about the passing away of filmmaker/cinematographer Barry Lank. We offered our deepest sympathies to his family (Luanne and Hannah) and his many close friends. Barry was a great colleague and friend and the Kublacom team enjoyed working with him on many projects and hanging out with him at Hot Docs and the Banff Television Festival on many occasions. We will dearly miss him. Here's a few photos of Barry when we worked with him on our One of the Last Documentary Film and our Homeless in Calgary project.
Last night's screening of Blue Roses Documentary at First United Church, Ottawa was a success that stirred up a lots of lively discussion even long after the panel discussion consisting of panelists Peer Outreach worker Robert Jamison, Palliative Care Nurse Patti Robillard & Palliative Care Social Worker Claire Savage and moderated Rev. Brian Cornelius came to a close.
