It's Tip Tuesday and this is a good one that not many think of. So often in a move, I have wrapped glasses in newspaper only to have them covered in ink. By using packing paper or bubble wrap, that problem is solved. #tip #tiptuesday #packing #glasses #safe #moving #Tuesday
Brent wants to do a shout out to our HR team for remembering his birthday coming up right away. The little treat from Sweet Queen Confections is so cute! Thanks team SGA #itsthelittlethings #birthday #thankyou
Something to always remember. Who knew you could find so much motivation in Harry Potter movies? My kids, for sure. Remember to turn on the light. #motivational #MotivationalMonday #HarryPotter #HP #wisewords #monday
No matter the weather there he is, cleaning a unit ready for our newest client. This unit is 10 by 20 feet in size. Some of our 10 x 20 units can hold a car and extras. #menatwork #workingman #storage #cars #fridayvibes #friday
Well todays Fun Fact Friday also relates to Earth Day. We have taken steps to purchase moving/packing boxes that are made with 80 to 100% recycled material. These boxes are also strong; tough enough for long term storage. A hint for storing boxes is, try to buy as many of the same size base boxes. This will help with stacking, and lessen the possibility of shifting or falling while packed away. #Funfact #Funfactfriday #friday #earthday #recycle #moving #boxes
We have the latest in crime fight defenses. Porch Pirates be warned!! Message us for details on this free plan.
I like this little holiday challenge from the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce. Sort of reads like a bingo. Lets see if we can all fill this out. I think the only thing stopping me from yelling BINGO is the shop online part.
This is why Lacombe Storage Center has offered to be a drop off site at no charge to our community. Message us if we can help you. UPS, DHL and Purolator are in our yard nearly daily already so we are used to seeing them and the drivers know us.
Really? You can't leave the house today because all your socks are in the wash? This work from home idea has really gotten to some people. What is your best excuse for not leaving the house? Right now I just tell Brent it's too cold lol
Some clients ask for a little help deciding what size storage unit they need to store their belongings. If you can't decide what size you need to store away all your Llamas after Christmas, take a peek at our handy chart. I don't think Brent will mind feeding and watering them until spring.
Great drop off of a portable storage unit this afternoon. Luckily Brent was able to make the time to get it delivered to a client of ours soon after an email came in today.
Sending out a few Christmas cards today. Thank to Domino's Pizza Lacombe for the help with a few little treats and to my lovely sister Lynne for the beautiful hand made cards.
We are well into December now and our community knows what is coming for a Christmas contest. 2018 Eva Beauclair was our winner of $500 cash. Who will see their name up here this year?
Was raking the leaves in your job description before you started working from home? Not like there is a chance of raking leaves today if you have our weather. The plus side of working from home is you don't have to go out in this weather
Thumbs up from Helmut and Brenden, our newest clients who moved in and played the Casino wheel. One received a discount of 30% of his first months rent while the other will enjoy supper on Domino's Pizza Lacombe with his $20 in gift cards.
Its Casino month at Laombe Storage. If you are in need of a storage unit this month, stop in and let us spin you a deal. You can win 10 to 50% off your first months rent. PLUS your name will be entered our draw for $250 cash at the end of the month.
Alright! I feel like my boss (who gets all the credit for these great WFHL pictures) MUST have had me on her mind when she made this one. Great idea for local safe IT help. Brent has a hammer downstairs somewhere. Now I wonder if my boss has allowed for this "help" in my new budget for next year????
Another great portable delivery done this afternoon. Thanks again to Brent for getting it delivered the very next day after the call.
Did you remember to set your clocks back an hour? Still time to do that so you aren't late for work tomorrowDid you remember to set your clocks back an hour? Still time to do that so you aren't late for work tomorrow
Its remembrance day today. What does it mean to you? Do you have any stories to tell? My sister Lynne and I were told stories of our Mum growing up in England and Wales. She was just a young girl 5-6. When the air raid sirens went off, she was sent home from school. She would go from door way to door way with grandma Jessie calling her that it was safe then stop then run again. They would have to turn everything off if they were at home, covering the mirrors and windows. Wh...en she and our dad went to school if a child was missing, everyone assumed they were dead due to the bombing the night before. Wow! I for one am so happy that my children and their children will only hear of this in stories. There are likely more rarely told stories out there. What are yours? Lynne Madsen See more
A day with the boss while working online means stopping at some of our favorite local businesses. Eastside Eatery for lunch with a stop over at Oodles of Chocolates for a snack. If you haven't had their salted caramel cake pop yet, oh boy are you missing out!
I'm pumped for Halloween but still trying to stay professional. Is it working?? Stay safe everyone
Have you found your Halloween costume? Quick and easy idea here. Come down and pick up a box free of charge. Swipe a lamp shade from the living room. Then take a pic and send to us. We will show off all pics
Its a jungle in here! Whos in control here anyway? When work and family life mix. Keep the kids and the furry friends and bring all those stuffies to us.
Stop by the Tourism office in the flatiron building, Wendy will hand you a wonderful craft kit! Let's fill her office with people lol
This week I was lucky enough to be a part of a great celebration for Dean. Dean has been part of our work force in Medicine Hat Storage for many years, much longer than any of us. At the end of this month she will retire. Although we will all miss her, we wish her nothing but the best moving forward.
