This is a pic from Joleen Salte Cherland. Lovely memories. I’m sure I posted this last year but it won’t hurt again. There is such kindness and generosity in the world. When my dad, Lyndon Salte, was too sick with cancer in spring of 1971, these kind neighbours and friends came to finish seeding for him. (He died that fall in Sept. 1971) These men were left to right: Albert Fonstad, Harry Pederson, A.G. Pederson, Art Bergum, and Clinton Pederson. Blessed be their memory.

This is a pic from Joleen Salte Cherland. Another picture of generosity and kindness. I know I have posted this before, but this is Elmer Pederson cutting my dad’s hair in the hospital in July, 1971. It was to be his last haircut as he died in early Sept. that year. That is also my sweet mom, Agnes Salte.

Thanks to Janice Imrie for the pics! The group pic is Luther League gathering in 1937 in Midale, Saskatchewan. The lovely lady is Emma Ofstie Pederson. In group pic- Emma Ofstie far left. To Emma left 3 over. Blond glasses is Anton. Paul is back row far right. She lived just south of the church and was a founding member of LQP. Some of her relatives still manage the church to this day! What a great gift and heritage!

Thanks to Arvid Pederson for the pics! These are pics from farms very near LQP of some of the founding members of LQP! Henry Pederson farm south of the church, Ole Pederson farm on the south road to the church, Lee farm west of the church, this is where Bror Anderson lived and he donated all the land that the church sits on, Olaf Grinstad farm on the road north of the church. These pics were taken in 1999 and unfortunately some of these places have disappeared from the landscape over time! Pics of putting up metal roofing on the steeple. Looks like new still today!

Great wind storm last night in Saskatchewan. This is the barn at the Borth corner just south and east of LQP that caved as a result of the strong force of winds. Another great landmark slipping away into history. Dallas Pederson is checking on LQP to see how it fared last night. Thanks to Dallas Pederson and Keith Eldstrom who shared pics of the old Grinstead barn just north of the church that fell down, due to the wind storm last night, and LQP that has some siding missing. The power of nature!

Photos shared by Arvid Pederson - Lutheran Bible Camp at Midale, SK. It has been relocated since the Rafferty Dam flooded this area. Photos taken mid 1980's or so. Many children from LQP attended this Bible Camp each summer and Signora Pederson spent weeks down there over the years cooking for all the attendees.

Today we took a day trip down to LQP! We took some pictures of the LQP school sign put up by Art Clauson! We then went to the church and hung the poem that Kevin Imrie had composed about LQP. A great day, albeit a bit windy, but no snow!
