Not funny Mother Nature.

Autumn?? It’s still summer...just ask our Mandevilla. She’s not ready to quit yet!!!
Putting together the first fall planters of the season!
My Tuesday morning ‘office’. Thank you Mother Nature!
We will be out looking for these pests over the next couple of weeks. Nasty little things.
It’s time to start thinking tropical planters!!
Well it's a snowy day here at LA Gardens. Just waiting for the landscape to come into its summer bloom. I did cut a few forsythia stems and bring them inside to force into bloom. That was a welcome treat. Next up cherry and Pear Trees like the blooms below.
So this is the year Mother Nature decides to give us an early spring. Really Mother Nature??? Jen Raedts we need a letter to her.
Well we got a lot of work done today before Mother Nature decided that snow was a good idea. She can stop this nonsense now. Maybe putting a pretty flower frame around the snowscape will help.
Covid19 Update The latest updates from the government do not make it clear whether we can or cannot start our season. Landscape Ontario is working hard to get clarification for us. Our season was not scheduled to start until April 6 th and at this point with the 14 day lockdown of the province we are hoping to stay on that timeline. When we do arrive on your property please realize we will continue to socially distance ourselves until we get the all clear from the Governm...ent organizations. Our tools will be sanitized between properties and each team member will be assigned tools to try to keep ourselves as safe as possible. Stay safe everyone and enjoy the chance to take some rest from our stressful day to day lives. See more
Found a new weather app today ( I have 6 already). Look at those freaking amazing graphics.
There’s no better way to get excited about the upcoming season than checking out Canada Blooms!!
Sitting here today watching the rain and the wind and hoping to get back to the dirt really soon. I was also looking through my Ireland Adventure pictures(the wind and the rain also reminding me of Ireland ) and thinking how lovely it is that we do get a rest from gardening in this country. I was jealous that they could and were gardening in January but as I look at days like today Plus 3 feels like Minus 3, I am happy to be inside looking at summer bulb magazines, picture...s of my clients gardens and catching up on the blogs and gardening gurus I follow online. I changed up my cover photo to some beautiful Hellebores and ferns. This was in Ireland, mid January and what a beautiful display it was. Of course it was windy and rainy but as the Irish said, don't go to Ireland in January if you are looking for sunshine. I did see a beautiful rainbow when I was there, but that is for another day... It’s time to get the trailers out. Thankyou Mother Nature for a beautiful day.
My friend made this Birthday card for me. Do they know me or what?
Adare Manor. Ireland Some day I hope to bring a group of people back here on a tour. We had a wonderful tour of the manor and grounds today. Thank you Tom from Concierge and Christie for your lovely tour of the Gallery and Ballroom.
Spent a wonderful day at the National Botanical Gardens of Ireland. They all thought it was cold at +5. So much in bloom in January: Daffodils, snowdrops, Hazel, Mahonia, Rodos, & Daphne’s. This is Darwin’s Orchid, such a wonderful story behind this one. # ilovetolearn
