Here's Ed getting out for a ski before the thaw. From the stories I heard, he was/is a pretty kick ass skier. Due to some health issues he had to give up downhill skiing, but didn't want to give up skiing. He told me that to 'keep moving' is the best thing for his health. The 145cm hoks are helping him stay active and allowing him to slide on with his love of skiing. Nice Ed ;)

Video of our ski trip to Algoma in January. We had such an amazing time at Bellevue Valley Lodge & Searchmont Resort. For backcountry we had varied equipment and skill levels: Alpine touring setups, Telemark, 145cm hoks, 162 Koms and Snowboard/snowshoes. Enn and Ben set us up with any gear we were missing and took us to runs that had something that challenged everyone.... They kept us backcountry newbies moving so we could get the most of the fresh snow and daylight - but also very patient.. and made sure we all had a good time. Which we for sure did!! Thanks Enn & Robin for your hospitality and help which made everyone comfortable. I asked Adam from Churchill, Manitoba how he was enjoying his 125cm Altai Hoks - Here is what he said: "I was able last week to get out for a four day trapping adventure and used the Hoks and they are amazing. I was able to triple my trap line distance, covering ground is made much easier, half the effort, and very quick with these. Breaking trail isn't any different then the use of snowshoes which hands down makes these indispensable. Using them on an existing path was muc...h faster then snowshoes and the bindings allow for great maneuverability even in the bush and willows. Backing up and going up hills with ease. Both not easy with traditional snowshoes. " Great to hear how people are using the hoks for winter exploration and fun!
