*** ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING REMINDER *** Lakeland Lacrosse Membership: Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is one week away. On behalf of the Lakeland Lacrosse Association we are extending the invite to all membership. During this meeting, there will be updated news regarding potential winter sessions and voting for upcoming Executive and Director positions on the board and we always look forward to welcoming new and returning members/ volunteers.... The following board positions are open to voting for this coming term. President (non-voting Executive) Treasurer (Executive) Director of Discipline Director of Discipline, Assistant Director of Equipment Director of Equipment, Assistant Mini Tyke/Tyke Division Director Novice Division director Pee Wee Division Director Girls Division Director Bantam Division Director Midget Division Director Director of Floor time - Bonnyville Director of Floor time - Cold Lake Director of Media and Merchandise Director of Sponsorship Director of Tournaments Lakeland Head Referee Mentor Webmaster Details and location are as follows: Date- Sunday, 27 Sep 2020 Time- 6-8 pm Location- Cold Lake Energy Centre in the field house Details- As the Energy Centre and the Lakeland Lacrosse Association enforces safe distancing and sanitization, we highly encourage you to bring your own pen to avoid sharing and something hard to write on as there will be no desks (clipboard, book... etc). You must enter the Energy Centre by the Main Entrance only and answer a few COVID-19 questions by the EC staff, then make your way directly to the field house. If you are unfamiliar with the field house, please ask the staff at the front desk and they will point you in the right direction. Well, today was an amazing day and a great season finale for our Lacrosse families and our Association. Though there were many bumps and hurdles to make today a great way to end the modified season, the smiles on the parents and players faces made it all worth it. On behalf of the Lakeland Lacrosse Association, we want to thank first and foremost the parents and players from each division for trusting us to provide a safe and fun atmosphere for you to enjoy the game you lov...e, the coaches, assistant coaches and all the volunteers that were there from the beginning and seen it through to the end and finally to our referees that spent the day with us today to help make it safe and fun for all. NOTE: *Please keep watch for potential Winter Sessions as your Board of Directors and Executives are working very hard to make this happen* Also, for those Goalie parents, please drop your child’s goalie equipment off at Sylvester’s Source for Sports in Bonnyville and have it cleaned. Once it has been cleaned, please contact Lori Geneau at 613-403-4412- Lakeland Equipment Director, to make arrangements for return. This needs to be done by end Aug. Welcome Lacrosse Families! Registration for our Return to Activity Season is now open. Practices will start next week, with a few weeks of scrimmages to start approximately July 20th. The format the Wheatland is following is aligned with the ALA and will be teams of 10 in a 4 on 4 format. The schedule tentatively looks like the following in both communities. While the age groups times are combined, this is for sharing large field space only and groups will be segregated. Prac...tice will primarily on a field but games will be in the arenas/fieldhouses. Mondays & Wednesdays U6/U8/U10 6:15pm - 7:00pm U12/U14 7:00pm - 8:00pm U16/Junior 8:00pm - 9:00pm Please follow the link below to complete the registration. http://lakelandlacrosse.rampregistrations.com Watch your emails this weekend for information regarding firmer start information for next week, as well as our association's procedures and protocols for this return to activity program.
