Over the summer, local high school students gave their post-secondary studies a jump start, taking Career and Technology (CTS) courses in welding and automotive studies at Lakeland.

A student in a program based at the Lloydminster campus has tested positive for COVID-19. The student is self-isolating and we wish them a quick recovery. Access it on the Lakeland College App and lakelandcollege.ca/covid19 Please note that our campuses are open for staff and students, and are still closed to the public.

Lakeland College has learned that an employee at the Lloydminster campus tested positive for COVID-19. The individual followed our protocol and stayed home when feeling ill. Because of this, Public Health staff believe the risk of transmission is low. The individual is self-isolating and we wish them a safe and speedy recovery. To respect confidentiality, no other details will be released. Public Health staff are contacting those who may have been in close contact with the p...erson. There are no other confirmed cases in our campus community. Our Lloydminster campus remains open to employees and students. There are no changes to our program and service delivery. Our campuses remain closed to the public, including family of students and staff. Please continue to follow the COVID-19 guidelines provided by your health region and the college protocol available at www.lakelandcollege.ca/covid19. This case reinforces the importance of all of us following the guidelines to keep Lakeland safe.

Yesterday, our second-year IDT students thanked Denca Cabinets during a virtual lecture series with our friends from NKBA Prairies.
