We’re excited to have opened a newly redesigned space for the Ultrasound Department at our Oshawa Hospital! This state-of-the-art area includes the first five of seven new ultrasound suites with the other two suites opening next year. They offer an improved patient experience with more privacy, as well as a better working environment for staff and radiologists. These new suites are part of a multi-phase redevelopment project made possible thanks to generous funding from our donors through the Lakeridge Health Foundation.

Today is World Diabetes Day. This year’s theme, Nurses Make the Difference, highlights the crucial role nurses play in supporting people living with and affected by diabetes. In Durham Region, throughout the #COVID19 pandemic, nurses at Lakeridge Health's Diabetes Education Centre and Centre for Complex Diabetes Care have collaborated with endocrinologists, dietitians, pharmacists, and social workers to deliver safe, high-quality care through virtual appointments and group support sessions.
