Thank you to Shx:wow:hamel First Nation for allowing me to perform a maintenance home inspection on a unit they had just purchased! By performing such an inspection, it will give you a great idea on all maintenance items that need to be addressed sooner rather than later! I especially enjoy finding issues that are health and safety related.

Thank you to Matsqui First Nation for allowing me to conduct a mold inspection on a band owned home. Traces of mold was found in a bedroom that was being renovated. It was determined that part of the exterior vinyl siding adjacent to the room was compromised, which allowed water intrusion. There was also a roof leak above the room that may have added to the situation. I was able to report this back to the nation. If you have any mold in the home, it is a good idea to get the problem remediated for health and safety purposes.

Once this pandemic is over, I look forward to offering educational services such as the Basic Home Repair workshop! This one was held for Tzeachten First Nation. Did you know that CMHC will pay the costs of hosting one of these workshops in your community?

While at D'zawada'enuxw, I also held a 'Basic Home Repair' workshop that was put on by CMHC. This robust workshop included housing repair and maintenance manuals, along with a heavy dose of hands on demonstration! We had a great time repairing drywall, looking at various plumbing parts, and even took the time to install some door stops around the band office!

A little over two years ago, I was hired by D'zawada'enuxw First Nation (Kingcome Inlet) to perform 12 maintenance inspections. These inspections included pictures and a fully functional report that was emailed upon completion. Please contact me to see samples of my reporting :)
