A group of second-year Practical Nursing students facilitated the donation of a refurbished iPad from our own IT Department to a long-term care home. We believe that this iPad can help to reduce the isolation found in the home until the time comes that the residents are once again allowed to see their families. ... Way to go! Today, Lambton College was added to the DLI COVID Readiness list! International students with an approved study permit for Sarnia, Toronto, and Mississauga are now eligible to travel to Canada. Lambton College has received approval from the Canadian and Ontario governments for our covid readiness plan, which details the comprehensive health precautions we have set in place for students arrival. Lambton College will extend its Hybrid Academic plan into the upcoming Winter Term. The continued limitations of the pandemic coupled with the success of the Fall Term means that delivery of theory courses will remain online, while most hands-on training will take place on campus. The blended approach will apply to both program delivery and student services, while adhering to protocols for physical distancing and public health guidelines, says Rob Kardas, Vice President, Ac...ademic & Student Success, Lambton College. We are confident that our Winter plan will provide students with an opportunity to continue to achieve their program learning outcomes and the high-quality education they have come to expect at Lambton. The Winter Term will start on Monday, January 18, and will include a one week break halfway through the term.
