Lanark GeoTours

Lanark Geotours is up and running again this year, starting in May. News this year includes: 1. A new tour-site looks like it is going to be available this time around, in addition to the Perth Feldspar Mine. This one is the Carson mica-cuts in the Otty Lake Skarn zone. Are you keen to pick up some well-formed hexagonal mica columns? Some gorgeous waxy blue-green "Apatitite"? Rare and beautiful red zircons? I know I am! 2. Boulder delivery from the Perth Feldspar Mine is now a real thing. Mr. Tommy Duncan, proprietor of the site, has a rig that can pick up the mine's huge, glittering quartz-feldspar boulders, and a sturdy truck-trailer that will deliver it safely to your lawn! Neighbours will wonder where you managed to aquire this crystalline beauty.

This Saturday morning, October 12th, CBC Radio will be playing an ad for Lanark Geotours, as there will be a tour running day at 11am that same day. We'll be meeting at the Perth Farmer's Market, like old times!

Tours will be unavailable for a bit while I work up near North Bay. They will resume for the weekend of the 21st/22nd.

Tours will run from Perth every Sunday at 11:00am, from now until the snow falls! Point of departure is still the parking lot of the Perth Farmer's Market at the Crystal Palace (how appropriate)!
