Public Notice: Municipal Phone System Changes in Effect Beginning April 27, 2021 Please be advised that there will be changes in place to the Town of Greater Na...panee’s phone system and office phone numbers, effective Tuesday, April 27, 2021. How to Reach Municipal Offices’ General Lines Beginning April 27, 2021: Beginning Tuesday, April 27, 2021, all municipal offices can be reached via the Town’s general phone number 613-354-3351. This 613-354-3351 number will remain available for Town Hall and Community & Corporate Services (12 Market Square) and will be the new main line number for Infrastructure Services (45 Commercial Court), the Napanee Fire Hall (66 Advance Ave) and the Strathcona Paper Centre (16 McPherson Dr). Members of the public wishing to call one of the municipal offices’ general lines must dial 613-354-3351. After dialing this number, a phone tree will be available to direct callers to the appropriate department or member of staff they wish to speak to. A dial by name feature will also be available if the caller knows the name of the member of staff they are trying to reach. How to Directly Reach Municipal Staff by Phone: Town of Greater Napanee staff phone numbers will change starting April 27, 2021, with each member of staff having his or her own unique, direct phone number. If a member of the public wishes to speak to a particular member of staff, a staff directory is available on the ‘Contact Us’ page of the Town’s website: https://www.greaternapanee.com/Modules/contact/search.aspx If a member of the public does not know which staff member or department to speak to regarding a municipal service, it is recommended that the caller dial the Town’s general line, 613-354-3351, and follow the instructions of the phone tree. The Town continues to maintain and uphold strong customer service for its residents and visitors. Implementing this new phone system is beneficial as it allows municipal staff to be more agile and available when serving calls from the public. With only one direct general line instead of different numbers for each office, there is less confusion for members of the public trying to reach municipal departments. This new phone system set-up enables public calls to be handled and rooted more efficiently, decreasing the wait times callers may experience trying to reach a member of staff. The Town thanks everyone for their understanding, patience and cooperation at this time. The John M Parrott Centre celebrated our Fall Fair today. We started the morning with music from Andy Forgie. We were very thankful to a couple of our staff members for bringing in their horses for us to enjoy (no touching unfortunately). The activation team put together some great fair games with a pandemic twist! Bobbing for apples, balloon shoot, kernel count and vegetable toss. We also had homemade strawberry jam tasting and a candy count!! Everyone enjoyed their prize of some homemade fudge to take home! Great day!!!
