GOOD AFTERNOON FACEBOOK FANS!!!! Well they are finally here. Are you tired of not being able to sitting on your back deck with out being eaten alive by mosquito...es? I was last year and purchased this unit (actually two of them) for our back deck and my wife told me I was crazy as I have tried every mosquito gimmick out there and none have worked. It took her about three weeks to admit it but finally she admitted while enjoying our back deck one night that I had found the answer. So much so she wants one for our front deck now! Come on in and check them out complete unit comes with control with timer, fixtures, easy connects, wire, and enough repellant for 216 hours which averages out at 90 days use for 2.5 hrs per day. Trust me it works !!!!!

Good evening Facebook fans Sorry i am a little late this evening sending out this post but as you are all well aware premier Doug Ford gave us the permission to... open up to the public tomorrow morning with strict guidelines . This is how we do it at Lannin Hbc now or at least for the time being as we where just getting really good at curb side pick up and delivery. At least we thought so!! As of tomorrow here is how it will go. 1. We will still be doing and prefer if you to call ahead and give us your order for curb side pick up at 613-774-2830 or send us an email at [email protected] or text at 613-867-2830 to get your order ready 2. You will enter the store from the far north near the large red garage door xs are marked on the ground for safe social distancing so please respect others space. There are also large signs showing the direction to our entry. 3. We will be limiting the number of customers in the store to 5 at all times and the door will be locked until they exit. Please be courteous to our customers and to our staff as we will not tolerated abusive behaviour. Also please be as prompt as possible so all customers can be given an equal opportunity to shop. 4. Please only one member per family enter the store for my staff and your safety. 5. Once inside the store you must sanitize your hands before continuing on to shop. 6. Social distancing must be followed at all times. 7. There are directional arrows marked on the floor for you to follow just like in the grocery stores so please pay attention as we all go down the one way aisles the wrong way at least once. 8 The restrooms are for staff only and not accessible to the public. 9. When in the lumber yard customers MUST REMAIN IN VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES the outside staff will load your vehicles. We want to provide a safe shopping environment for both our customers and our staff so thank you for following the above procedures/ guide lines We sanitize our credit card machines and door handles after every customer and do regular cleaning and sanitization through out the store. The staff have protective shields at the check out to keep both them and you safe. And last but not least a HUGE shout out to my staff who are amazing and doing their very best every day to keep this all running as smooth as possible. In or around 1913 this house was built or being constructed. This particular house is Eastcourt E37 (also #61or #661)depending on the year of T. Eaton Co Catalo...gue you were browsing. They produced numerous house catalogues with varied floor plans, and a variety of sizes to suit most needs and budgets. For $2.50 Eatons offered a complete set of blueprints for your home. They included detailed plans for the basement, and 1st and 2nd floors, plus the specifications for different tradesmen assembling the house. Upon receipt of payment on a house package, $2.50 was deducted from the cost of your order. Eaton also sold barns, school houses and other out buildings. Douglas fir from British Colombia was the lumber used in the Eatons packages. All necessary materials to build the house were shipped to the customer, but were NOT cut to size. It was shipped to the recipient from British Columbia to the nearest rail destination of the customer. Upgrades were available in the form of better/fancier windows and doors, moldings, etc. Also furnaces, boilers, bathtubs, and sinks, and toilets were also available. In 1916 this house package sold for approximelty $940. The most expensive house I could find a price for in 1916 Eaton catalogue was an 11 room, 30 x 34 behemoth(by 1916 standards) with main floor and upstairs balconies. In 1916 it would set you back almost $1600. The floor plans state that the attic floor contains 3 bedrooms of decent size also. (Earlscourt-E17) There were several companies that sold house packages. United Grain Growers, Sears, B.C Mills Co, but Eatons remains the most notable. The Aladdin House Company also sold kit homes across Canada from 1905-1952. They were pre-cut and required very little skill to assemble.They featured high quality lumber, and the company offered a $1 refund for each knot the buyer found in their kit home. Did anyone grow up in a catalogue home, or maybe you still live in one?? Do you know the company and the model number?? As I was researching some information on the old house pictured, I stumbled upon the book Catalogue Houses- Eatons and Others by author Les Henry. I contacted Les and purchased a copy. A most interesting piece of prairie history and the mail order house business. See more
