As upbeat and positive as we want to be, you are the only one that will receive the full affects of this journey. Your oncologist is in the ring with you, your family doctor if you are lucky enough to have one (I didn't at the time) the doctors and nurses (such amazing, incredibly patient people) and your family, your friends, there are a TON of people in the ring with you....but at the end of the day this journey is all for you. You have every right to feel lonely and sad. Even helpless. But just for a minute. Then you have to pick yourself up and fight. Find your rope.
