Did you know that Dave Gunning and J.P. Cormier go back over 23 years? Read on for a snippet of how it all began. Dave had a fiddle player drop out of a show at the last minute. He hired me for a gig when I was just back from Nashville, nobody knew me here, says Cormier. We were totally blown away by J.P.’s playing, recalls Gunning. I remember him saying if you ever do a CD, I want to play on it. ... That happened, and much more. They played together and wrote together whenever they could, coming up with songs that graced both their projects, over the years showered with awards and nominations on the East Coast and nationally. Dave is such a part of my life, says Cormier. Dave is like my family, he’s like a blood relative to me, and he’s always been that way. Gunning feels the same way. Absolutely, we just became fast friends, and we’ve been working together ever since. Their long lasting friendship brings a special energy to all their shows! We hope you'll join us on Saturday night for a special online concert. This show is by donation and you can book your spot here --> https://larleecreekmusic.ca//an-evening-with-dave-gunning/. Our Hullabaloo family has lost a dear friend, longtime volunteer and true festival ambassador this week. Phyllis Prendergast became a part of our family from the moment she walked into our lives. She is the thread that brought so many of us together in friendship and community. You’d be hard pressed to find a volunteer, audience member, artist, sponsor or vendor from any Hullabaloo that she hasn’t personally made feel welcome. Phyllis we will miss you dearly. We hope you knew how much we love and appreciated you. We will miss your smile, your hugs, your kind and generous spirit, your enthusiasm, and your ability to make us all appreciate the smallest of details, to slow down and take it in. Thank you. We are better people for having had you in our lives. Heartfelt condolences to Ronnie and all of Phyllis’s family and friends.

Hi friends! Given the evolving situation in our region we feel it's important to show our support to Dr. Russell's messaging and all the folks around the province who are working so very hard to stop the spread of the virus and keep every New Brunswicker safe. As such, we've decided to postpone the David Myles shows scheduled to take place this weekend. Our new date is TBD. We will be in contact with all of those who have already purchased tickets and you'll have the option to hold your ticket or receive a full refund. We miss you and we can't wait to gather with you again. Please stay safe and be kind to one another. We're in this together!!

The goal was to be wrapping up #LCH2020 today but the world had different plans for us this year. Ending the weekend feeling very grateful for the thoughtfulness of festival friends and family who continued to celebrate and support the festival over these last few days and months. So appreciative to be surrounded by such a great festival family.

Larlee Creek Hullabaloo 03.09.2020

This year's festival fundraiser is a pretty special one. We are so blessed when it comes to festival partners and supporters. Some of our biggest cheerleaders are the Jamer family who support the Hullabaloo in SO MANY ways. This year, in addition to all the support they already show the festival, the "Jamer Girls" put hundreds of hours into this breathtaking quilt that they have donated to the festival. The love and care that went into this is truly remarkable and I cannot t...hank them enough. Whoever gets this quilt is truly getting a piece of the heart of the festival. Tickets are $2 each and 3 for $5. Each of our crew will have tickets, and you'll also find them at Perth Irving. We do have tickets available in a few other areas of the province (Woodstock, Fredericton) as well. If you’re interested in purchasing from another area send us a message. Quilt measures 84"x98" (Queen sized), Musical theme, Square Dance pattern.

A massive thank you going out to Ryan Cook for sharing his time and music today with the residents of Victoria Glen Manor, Inc and the Victoria Villa. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to bring music back to our community and to such important members of our community. We would also like to thank our sponsors, The Jamer Family in remembrance of Richard and Janet Jamer, for all of their support and helping us make this happen.

Wishing all our festival friends a happy Friday! Please keep supporting artists in the ways you can. Sending a BIG shout out to an extra special one, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Jennifer Russell (AND member of The Tortoise The Hare & The Millionaire) who has shown remarkable leadership and guidance. Thank you Dr. Russell for your tireless work.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2020 Larlee Creek Hullabaloo. Of utmost importance is the well-being of our community, organizers, audience, artists, volunteers, partners, and anyone participating in our festival week, which is why we are not able to proceed with the 2020 Larlee Creek Hullabaloo under such unprecedented public health concerns. Like so many other summer festivals, we have had to face the choice before us, assessing and reass...essing this situation for a number of weeks while closely monitoring the guidance of public health officials across the country during this global pandemic. We have not taken this decision lightly. This year promised to be an incredible one for the festivallucky 13! We’ve worked hard over the last eight months to bring you a Hullabaloo to remember, but have no doubt, The Little Festival that Could will return even stronger in 2021. In addition to the cancellation of our festival stages, our 2020 Rock n’ Roll Boot Camp for local youth will also be cancelled. Support from our community has been the backbone of our event and our hearts are with all those who are feeling the impact of COVID-19. As we all adjust to our new world, a few things have never been more clear; community matters, music matters, a united front matters. We are all in this together! Our commitment to you is to do everything we can to withstand the storm and be back with you in 2021. In the meantime, take care of each other, support all those artists who are getting us through these challenging times with their music, and please take the direction of our provincial and federal authorities who are working tirelessly on our behalf. Please save the date for August 11-15, 2021. We can’t wait to gather with all of you again!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! 2019 will be a Hullabaloo to remember for so many reasons, and because of so many amazing people. I've said it before but as we wrap up our 2019 festival, the overwhelming message I'm left with is Friendship, Family, Music, COMMUNITY! So many of you felt it along with us and community was certainly the expressed theme throughout the week. On behalf of all of us at the Hullabaloo, thank you to every artist, sponsor, volunteer, vendor, crew,... and our entire audience. None of this is possible without you. Special thanks to Terry Whalen, Dan Doiron, and Kendra Gale for spending the week with our kids, and going above and beyond behind the scenes. I'd also like to express my sincerest gratitude to Megan Sappier and Gary's entire family for letting us celebrate him as part of our week. To our "Hullaba-crew" who spend countless hours bringing it all together throughout the year, hats of to you. I hope you're all proud of your #LCH2019.
