Despite 2020 being a rough year, LAT administration, students and teachers accomplished quite a lot. Here are some facts and our BEST OF 2020 highlights: 1st wave of Québec's pandemic lockdown: We were closed from March to July, however we were able and happy to offer our winter / spring clients a pilot project 10 week zoom class session for FREE! We also refunded all those that requested. August Camp: Our COMPETITIVE TEAM dancers had the incredible experience of this dan...ce video production created over 2 weeks in the summer https://vimeo.com/451007472 in collaboration with Maison de la culture Notre-Dame de-Grace and amplemandanse. com. A HUGE THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to Mylène Robillard, Simon Ampleman & crew, Lelia Sfeir!!! 2nd wave of Québec's pandemic lockdown: We started the session in person at 40% capacity with strict COVID-19 safety protocols and an updated website. A SPECIAL THANK YOU to Annick, Jen, Michelle!!! Having a high quality zoom experience already in place when we were forced to close our doors again in early October, it was a seamless transition to zoom classes for the rest of the session. IMPORTANT NOTE: teachers reported that our fall session students continued to show up and were engaged, worked hard and improved their skills, and were enjoying themselves during weekly classes. November / December Charity Participation: We were invited to participate in two virtual charity events and therefore we created 2 zoom videos for: 1) 29th annual Tea Toy Showcase which collects and donates new non-violent toys for children who live in Montreal shelters. 2) 1st annual MCT virtual variety show which collects donations for NDG's Food Depot. We look forward to creating new HIGHLIGHTS in 2021 despite the year starting off in lockdown.
