Walt Disney said "If you can dream it, you can do it". True or False?
Google defines Courage as a mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty. We like to think of Courage as the ability to do something even if it's outside our comfort zone. From giving to receiving, it really does take courage for a person to listen to one's own inner goodness and act on it. 24 hours could change your life. Call toll-free at 1-877-633-8899 TODAY.
Let's join in on #JustForFun with @ABCLifeLiteracyCanada Describe the book you are reading and let's see if we can guess the title! We'll go first.... This book can be thought of as a guide. When reading, we can almost feel the transformation happening in our lives (both at work and at home). It enables us to achieve greater success in every area of our lives. While many things factor into our success, one of the most critical is the accuracy and power of our thinking. Can you guess what the title of this book is? If not, share a description of your own and we'll try and figure it out. #JustForFun with #LaubachLiteracyNB https://www.facebook.com//photos/a.48244/10159653077390931

Here are 5 steps to help you think big and believe in yourself: 1. Imagine the possibilities in your mind 2. If number one is challenging, try reading (it can transform the way you think)... 3. Surround yourself with like-minded people 4. Be curious (ask the right questions to the right people) 5. Give yourself the permission to dream and discover You've Got This! #LaubachLiteracyNB

Can you name a few other adjectives?
It’s Learning Disabilities Awareness Month! During this month, LLNB joins LD OnLine and asks each of you to teach one person something new about learning disabilities. You could: 1. Introduce them to the LD Online newsletter: http://www.ldonline.org/calendar/ld ... 2. Introduce them to https://www.facebook.com/LDANBTAANB/ 3. If you know an adult who struggles with a particular learning disability, have them reach out to us so we can pair them with one of our qualified tutors. #LearningDisabilities #LaubachLiteracyNB
We want to thank everyone who joined us for the "live" virtual event last night. We have, thanks to your support, raised over $10,000 and with the Silent Auction still happening, that number is increasing. If you are making your meal kit tonight or tomorrow night - you should have received an email just a short while ago with the link to the recording of last night's event. Again - thank you everyone for your support!

Just because volunteer work is unpaid does not mean the skills you learn are basic.
Are you up for a glorious adventure?
Canadian spelling isn’t quite the same as anyone else’s. It’s no secret that we Canadians spell differently from our cousins in the United States: 1. We put a u in words like colour and favour; Americans leave it out... 2. We spell theatre and centre with an re at the end; they spell them with an er 3. We write cheques for things we order from catalogues, while they order from catalogs and write checks Read More here: https://www.noslangues-ourlanguages.gc.ca//canadian-spelli Tip: Canadian words are always longer than US, for instance: Colour instead of Color and Favour instead of Favor.
Here’s to a great weekend!

LEARNING TIP: Taking short breaks while learning something new is one of the best ways to succeed. Your brain continues to work on a subconscious level while you step away and when you come back you will be refreshed and ready to continue.
Carla Geldart, LLNB board member, was presented a cheque (the giant cheque) from Kate Rogers, Executive Director of the Fredericton Community Foundation. The funds will help get learners and tutors back together in the Fredericton area, as well as the training and use of new digital tutoring tools.
