It’s so very important to educate children about how they should interact with dogs. Heartbreakingly, a large number of dog bites occur involving children and often it’s because the children push the dogs too far. Any dog can bite with enough provocation. It is not the dog’s responsibility to restrain themselves. Dogs should not be forced to tolerate unwanted attentions of small humans - it creates a timebomb that can have disastrous consequences. Please remember to set important boundaries between your children and the dogs they interact with.

If you are feeding your beloved dogs one of the brands on this list please talk to your veterinarian. While a lot of research still needs to be done to understand the exact nature of the problem, if your dog food contains legumes like peas, lentils, and chick peas as one of the first ingredients it’s important to speak with your veterinarian. One of the most salient points in this post is that you should spend your money on dog food that has had rigorous research and development by veterinary nutritionists as opposed to dog food with a sexy ingredients list and excellent marketing. Remember just because the ingredients sound healthy does not mean they are in fact the best thing for your furry family member.

Please keep your pets inside as much as possible and drastically reduce the strenuous exercise they do outside. Their airways are affected just like ours!
