I feel very calm today. The interesting thing about calm energy is that it always brings a much higher level of perspective and inner peace. I look forward to the day that both my personal and our global existence holds a more calming demeanor as opposed to the upheavals we see, feel and know are underway. If there is one valuable aspect COVID-19 has brought to the awareness of our society it is how our thoughts and actions most certainly affect all things. The extreme of that awareness is that there will inevitably always be differing opinions and perspectives on how to handle any and all aspects of life, including but certainly not limited to our current virus situation and even the perceived severity of this global pandemic in the first place. There have been many times over the years when I have had to work incredibly hard to keep my faith and believe in better things yet to come. Honestly, it has not always been easy. Faith is not always our natural state of mind. It takes great courage and constant focus to trust in the bigger picture of all things. Interestingly enough, it has not even been our global landscape or worldly pandemic that has challenged me to stay focused on my own experiences and knowing. I have to admit my hope for humanity has wavered many times over the past few months. Not so much because we find ourselves in the throws of a global pandemic, but because of the vast array of demoralizing societal responses demonstrated by the masses each and every day. People yelling and screaming about their personal rights being thwarted yet ignoring the rights or well-being of all others around them. Over the years of searching for answers, developing my spiritual practice, and learning to trust in the subtle realities of this magical universe, I have found I am usually doing one of two things: living my normal day-to-day life or tapping into my spiritual one.
