Thank You Everyone We have been closely monitoring the weather forecast and the condition of the hill, and it appears that in all likelihood, this weekend (March 20th -21st) will be the end of our season. Why not come out and spend some time with your hill family? On Sunday, we will have some fun activities for kids of all ages. Let’s end the season by having a blast on the hill.

SKIERS AND SNOWBOARDERS As most of you are probably aware, our opening date has been pushed back to January 23rd due to the extension of the lockdown. While this is unfortunate, we will continue to make and groom snow in anticipation of fantastic conditions when we reopen. We look forward to seeing you on the hill!

ATTENTION SEASON PASS HOLDERS If you are a season pass holder and you have not done so already, please send us a scanned copy of the waiver as well as (clearly labeled by name) landscape photographs. We can also use last years photographs if you choose that option. This will assist us in getting all passes ready for pick up in a timely manner. Thank you and hope too see you on the hill soon!

Update: We have been monitoring the wind for more than an hour and the wind is not letting up. Sadly we have no other option than to shut the hill for the even...ing. Thank you once again. We will be open tomorrow (Friday March 12th) from 10:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00AM to 4:00PM Hi Everyone It is Thursday March 11th , 2021 at 3:30PM and we have closed the chair lift (and the hill) due to dangerously high winds. We are evaluating the situation and will re-post if and when we are able to re-open. Thank you for understanding that safety is our top priority.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR RESIDENTS OF SOUTHERN ONTARIO In accordance with the Province’s current Covid-19 response framework, it is advised that non-essential travel from areas of high transmission to areas of low transmission should be avoided. During the provincial lockdown in southern Ontario Laurentian Ski Hill will only be accepting patrons from the North Bay Parry Sound district and districts north of Sudbury/North Bay, when we re-open. Proof of residence will be required for all day pass purchases. We will reevaluate this measure when the the province wide shutdown is lifted.

As such, we have been closely monitoring the weather; both current and historical patterns. After much thought and discussion we have decided to move into modified Spring Hours of Operation beginning this coming week: Monday March 15 - Closed Tuesday March 16 12pm to 6pm Wednesday March 17 12pm to 6pm Thursday March 18 12pm to 6pm Friday March 19 10am to 6pm Saturday March 20 9am to 5pm Sunday March 21 9am to 5pm We realize that some of you may be disappointed that we are no longer offering night skiing but again this is for safety reasons and happens every year. When we have warm days and cool evenings ice buildup on the hill becomes a safety concern, and we often have to close. In light of this we have chosen to open Tuesdays and to and adjust our hours accordingly. We look forward to seeing you on the hill.

SKI HILL CLOSURES As part of Ontario’s shut down, Laurentian Ski Hill will be closed from December 26th until January 8th. We anticipate that we will continue making snow during this time and will open January 9th with great conditions! Staff will be checking voicemail periodically over the shutdown but the best way to get in touch is via email at [email protected]. Our reopening plan includes extended hours for the first week. Here is our tentative plan. Saturday... and Sunday January 9th and 10th open 8am to 5pm. Season Pass Holders ONLY Monday and Tuesday January 11 and 12 Open 9am to 4pm Wednesday to Friday January 13 to 15 Open 10 am to 9pm Saturday January 16 we will begin regular hours. We will continue to provide updates on Social Media, e newsletter and the website as more information becomes available and we get closer to reopening.
