MONDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2020 2 Chronicles 20:1-37; Ezekiel 39:1-29; John 16:16-33 A fool also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? Ecclesiastes 10:14... Who knows what lies ahead? God does. Portions of the Old Testament are divinely inspired prophecy by menmen who couldn’t possibly know the future apart from God’s revelation to them. Our future is part of God’s eternal plan. For the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame (Heb. 12:2). Next in His timetable is the rapture of the saints! What a joyful future moment that will be! LORD’S DAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2020 2 Chronicles 18:1-19:11; Ezekiel 38:1-23; John 15:17-16:15 If I forget thee, O JerusalemIf I do not remember theelet my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth. Psalm 137:5-6... The Jews in captivity in Babylon would rather have their speech silenced than to forget Jerusalem. Later when Jesus entered Jerusalem in triumph His disciples welcomed Him with Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord The Pharisees asked the Lord to silence them. He replied, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out (Luke 19:38, 40). Today you are the living stones (1 Peter 2:5) remembering the Lord. Are you silent or crying out to praise Him? K. C. Ung Praise the Saviour, ye who know Him! Who can tell how much we owe Him? Gladly let us render to Him, all we are and have. Thomas Kelly

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2020 2 Chronicles 16:1-17:19; Ezekiel 37:1-28; John 15:1-16 Men ought always to pray, and not to faint. Luke 18:1... A little boy was asked if he prayed every day. Nope, was his quick reply, some days I don’t need nothin’! How often we are like this boy and use prayer as a fire extinguisher, only in the case of emergencies. The Lord reminds us, as does Paul, that prayer ought to be our daily exercise and we should never lose heart. God always answers prayer, however, not always according to our time schedule or our wishes. As our wise Heavenly Father, He knows what is best for us. Jim Comte Sweet hour of prayer! Sweet hour of prayer, That calls me from a world of care, And bids me at my Father’s throne, Make all my wants and wishes known. W. Walford

Ruth was anxious to know whether Boaz would take her to be his wife. Naomi gave advice which every young person would do well to heed. Sit stilluntil. Never make a hasty decision concerning marriage. Wait upon the Lord until He guides you to the one He has chosen to be your life-long spouse. Remember He loves you and is more concerned than you could ever be about who you should marry. If you wait upon Him, He will guide you to the right person at the right time and you’ll meet that one in the right way. David Croudace Teach me Lord to wait down upon my knees, ‘Till in Your own good time You answer all my pleas.Ken Totushek

However, farther along the road stood a solitary soldier bearing a simple sign of but two wordsGood Company. Dear fellow believer, if you are looking for the best possible company on the road of life, walk in intimate fellowship with your beloved Lord. In His company, there is rest. Arnot P.
