We have been so humbled to have gained such amazing exposure over the years, connecting us with so many amazing people along the way! Barnyard meetings. Everyone joins.

We have had plenty of emails and messages inquiring about rides - and so I'm popping on to say that we are still very much closed (we still have over a foot of snow in the round pen!), but we are looking forward to seeing you all in May some time. Until then, we will be enjoying some time with our youngsters!

Although I don't show my face on here too much - this is who is running all social media, website and corresponding with all of you who call and email to book rides ;) I'm Amara, the wife to the very photographed cowboy (Shawn) who is the one waiting to get you up on your horse before your ride. Who's looking forward to adventuring with us this season!!?

When you emerge from the depths of the deep freeze we have been living in, and after seeing your animals surrounding a bale for what felt like an eternity - the most physical contact they had with us was a quick pet ... having the temperatures head up to +2 today .. it felt like summer. Naturally, we took advantage of it.

We can't even remember the last time January has been so incredible for weather -- but we are loving it, and so are all the animals. Everyone was pretty content to be basking in the sunshine today.

Up next will be some old photos of us ... so stay tuned ... In the meantime, we want to give a little shout out to Kayla over at Sizzlin Stitches & Custom Advertising for our new jackets. They may be spring/fall jackets, but the gorgeous weather has been allowing us to enjoy them in the winter!

So a little story today. Both Shawn and I grew up with horses our entire lives .. and this little 24 year old pony here (along with her 33 year old mom who my sister has), are the only two left around from our childhood! A horse that had zero formal training became our biggest babysitter from the very first ride. Sitting on her bareback is like riding a couch, you better know how to post because she can trot for days, born to round up cattle, mountain horse extraordinaire... at the Ya Ha Tinda and happily living her life bossing her way around the herd. I will forever be grateful to my mom, who's love for horses gave us the opportunity that so many don't get, to have these animals a part of our lives since the very beginning! I was digging around our photos the other day ... should I show some oldies of us with our horses of the past? ;)

Morning visits to the very plump girls with grass and babies in their bellies.

We haven't checked in for awhile, but all is well! We have had a few snow storms but that has all left and we have had some beautiful fall weather around these parts. Teddy and his crew have been out grazing, while a few others, like Jack + Spade (and Nikki my co-pilot on the quad) have been playing in the arena!

So while the doors are closed for the public, this is when all the hard work behind the scenes occurs. The youngsters are home and in their foundation program for becoming a part of the future trail riding crew. While not all make the cut as it takes an exceptional horse to safely take our riders down the trail, the ones that do are just that, exceptional. And for those wondering what the boys are up to - they went for their adjustment yesterday at the vet and are happily grazing <3

Every single day, this is our life and for the last four years, we have shared our love for trail rides with all of you. Never did we dream of it being reciprocated to such an overwhelming degree .. especially in a year as this! We hope that we see YOU down the trails next season aboard one of our beautiful horses.
